Yahoo Email Down 80% of the time!?

Does anyone know WTF is going on with yahoo email? It's been down 80% of the time I try to log in for the past 3 weeks at least.

Please don't tell me to get gmail, I have it but I've been using yahoo for business for over 10 years without issue until now. I really don't want to update my email contact for a dozen sites but it looks like I might have to.

 

Which part of the world you are in? I have been using Yahoo for last 10 years at least and never faced an issue like this ever. Right now, my yahoo email is open in front of me and is working as fine as ever.

 

Canada, working again now but I'm sure it will be down later. Also, at yahoo.com when you mouse over the mail link it shows you a preview of your new mail but when you chick on it to read subjects I get unable to connect. When it's not working, which is most of the time...

When I first posted this, downrightnow said it was mostly up and I could not connect, now it says down and I can connect. Not very accurate but i guess this is localized issues.

I refused the upgrade about 2 years ago and am still using the old yahoo mail. probably the only one left on it, but it still works fine for me.

 

I am really really snocked to know that this stills happens to you. I think you should check your local area network administrator. I apparently see no reason in why this happens to you. Have you also checked out with your neighbors in immediate surroundings. Do they also have the same issue or only you?

 

I haven't had any problems this week. hopefully it's sorted out. When I posted the link to downrightnow it was literally down 85% of the 24hr graph.

It could be the Internet that you are using. When I was using internet at a hospital last fall yahoo would not work for me. I ended up in the hospital again around Christmas and yahoo would not work on their internet. When I transferred to another hospital I had no problem with yahoo. Now that I am at home using my cable internet wifi Yahoo works great for me here. I am certain it was the differences in the wifi I was using that made it a problem for me to access yahoo.

I've been a faithful yahoo-er since I got started on the internets, and I have yet to have a problem with it as far back as I can remember. I've had three accounts, but my primary one I have had since I got started in 2000. I got a gmail account last year, but only because gmail.com sounded more professional than yahoo.com in my super-paranoid unemployed mind. So far I have been much more annoyed with gmail, so I don't use it much anymore since I got a job.

 

the .ca version of yahoo works just fine
