Well this morning when I woke up for some reason I took 2 diphenhydromine hci 25mg pills with out thinking. After realizing what I had done I decided to drink a full glass of water and try to puke them up.(Seeing as how I had stuff to do today i couldn't afford sleeping all day) during the process I ended up with a small amount of bright red (what i think to be blood) in my vomit. Should I be conserned or is this just from trying to make myself puke and if it doesnt happen again (which making my self puke IS NOT something I do normally at all.) not to worry. Please give me your advice. I don't have health insurance so going to the doc will cost me a pretty pennie. I have researched ulcers and I don't have any of the symptoms revolving around them, my worry is that I just caught an ulcer early.

If you caught an ulcer early, it wouldn't be actively bleeding yet. Are you sure it was blood and not some type of dye from the pill? Had you eaten anything else? Unless it happens again, or if you feel weak or notice black tarry stools, I wouldn't worry about it.

if it is bright red it means it happened when you puked and not ''before'' you puked

blood cannot stay red in ones stomach

well the pill i took was white so dye is out of the question plus i saw both of them come up. i do have a history of acid reflux disease so i was thinking it may be my esophagus lining. throughout the day there was minuet blood in my normal reflux spit up. in any case i have decided to make an appointment with my doctor. i decided it doesnt matter the cost so long as its not my life. thanks everyone for your incite. i will post the results on this thread so if anyone else out there is having the same problem they to can have an idea of whats going on oh and i had not eaten anything that day.
