I know there is a book forum but no one ever goes there. I love books more than anything in the world except for plants and so I was wondering what everyone here's favorite book is?

Mine is 'The Brothers Karamazov' by Dostoevksy and I know that makes me sound pretentious but I read it like once a year and I love it. In non serious things my other favorite book is 'Anne of Green Gables'.

I love all things Steinbeck. And I've read The Curse of Lono by Hunter S Thompson more then once.

As cliche as it may be, Kerouac's On the Road will always be a favorite of mine. I first read it in high school, so there is a certain nostalgia I associate with it because it was one of the books I read during a time when I was discovering myself as an individual.

The Day They Scrambled My Brains at the Funny Factory- Max Raven. That link takes you to the entire book. I'm absolutely fascinated by mental illness and the horrors of the history of mental healthcare. It's got some typos, probably not the best written book in the world, but I was trapped in and found myself completely immersed in the story. My favorite book changes fairly often, but that's one that has really stuck with me for the past few years.

Mary Shelleys frankenstein... not the cool answer but that book takes you through a kaleidoscope of emotion. Alienated, cast away, superfluous, longing, hope.. holden caulfield was a whinny bitch in comparison lol.. hmmm bet that comment pisses someone off… :)

I am not the biggest fan of reading books. I know this is not very good but I am like that since my childhood. :(

It's cool, my boyfriend has never voluntarily read a book in his life. Not everyone needs to have the same interests in life.

Thanks guys, you gave me a few new things to read :)

I love reading. If I had to pick one it would have to be Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. It's awesome.
