If you had to live in Exile, in a Sovereign State other than the one you grew up in and could never return home, which Nation would you choose, knowing that you would be stuck there for the rest of your life and could never leave your adopted country? Me? I am a US citizen and have spent my entire life here. If I was exiled I would chose the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island as my new home. what about everyone else?
an English speaking country is a must, but i could make a case for any of them. the bottom line is that i am a big hockey fan so i think Canada would suit me well. i wouldn't be upset with a warmer country but the warmest i can think of is south Africa and i am not sure i would enjoy it there as much as i would Australia or England. im sure there is a little island somewhere that would be just what im looking for.
I want to go to Canada, but I don't like snow and cold. So I'll have to go to Australia and hope I survive there..
Australia has drop bears also. Keeps you on your toes, I'm sure. Good for the circulation. :2thumbsup:
Not sure about permanent exile, never to leave that place, but I dont think it would be that bad. Places I'd be interested in, to live atleast part of the year:- Moscow defnitely. The French Riviera, or somewhere in the Mediterranean, Switzerland. Then outside of Euro-timezones, maybe Shanghai for a while, maybe somewhere in the Carribean, or even Brazil, or even some parts of the US. Infact, I wouldnt have any problem at all living outside of Britain permanently. And I strongly suspect I'll be a non-resident at some stage, for whatever time.
I would head to Italy. I have some distant relatives there and a few of them are fishermen...I would live my life on the water.
