I am having first world problems today and it's been comical.

I was finally childless and so was set to have a lovely day here at home doing whatever. Ahh yes a nice warm bath will start this off right...
    *insert power outage here*

Okay, so I deal with that for a while no problem when suddenly the power is back on....
So I get in the tub ahhh so warm and nice....

    And the power gose out!

So then I was in the dark. I was in there till the water was cold but since I couldnt see I got out without enjoyibg it at all and as soon as I got dry....Power is back on...

    fuck!!! dangit!! lol

sorry to hear that, that sounds really awful

i always forget and use fabric softener on my towels, so they aren't great at drying me and i'm always cold after a hot shower in the winter

    :(

I usually hate when the power goes out, but sometimes it's nice just to light a bunch of candles and read in the dark.

When I soak in the bath, I always turn off the lights and light candles. It makes the atmosphere so much more relaxing.

Bummer! I've lived off the grid for a few years now and it was not until recently that I appreciated mains electricity. I visited a friend and used his kitchen to cook for a small reunion gathering. It's not until it becomes a luxury do you realise how cool it is to use all that power!! Fortunately with my simple day-to-day living my light/cooking/water are not all entwined.......I can imagine your 1st World Pain :D

Yes, we are all very spoiled. I blame the former generation for all this luxury :D

I'm off the grid. I generate power wherever I am.

There is one world and you can do with it as you will.

At this moment I can't be "off the grid" as I share a child with someone an hold down a regular job and another illustration job. Choices yes. Sacrifices of my own will so my son can go to a really cool school which costs $ because it isn't government funded. A co op. but priceless.

There was nothing on the long menu list in the large canteen at work today suitable for me... I had to walk down to the corner shop :(

Then when I got back, I realised I had forgotten a fork, so couldn't eat the noodles... I just had to snack on cheesy things, a pastry & stroop waffels... I wanted noooooooodles!!!

At desk, wearing suit... didn't want to make a mess or make my co-workers look at me funny so soon... they haven't figured out quite how much of a nut-job i am yet :D

Just did some googling... turns out I live about 5-10 minute walk from the lab that first discovered LSD... either that, or just the company's hq - can't tell, lol!

Maybe that level of confusion caused you to forget your fork. Our moments interest distract us from a larger more enduring perspective.

I'm most likely going to have to hire a crane to put the hot tub where I want it. Maybe I need to rethink the placement
