I am interested in learning about crystals and their metaphysical properties. I know little about them, does anyone have a good book suggestion for a starter?

I'd also say the one by Scott Cunningham (can't remember the name)...anything by him is excellent (imo).

Judy Hall and Diane Stein both have books out as well. Also Robert Simmons has one with great pictures.

Melody's last book (around 2008) is massive and costs about $100 somehow I still find stones that don't appear to be in it but I think it is because different sources call stones one thing when they can have another name as well. Or maybe they just keep finding new stones?

I have one called The Complete Crystal Handbook by Cassandra Eason. Has over 500 crystals in it. 23.50 in Canada...17.95 in the States.
