I'm giving a friend 40 books and 20 Cds from my collection. His flat is bare so maybe he will appreciate them.It was fun picking out things I thought he might like.I think it will be good for me too to get rid of some possessions. They really way me down sometimes.I often feel strangely happier when I have very little.Anyone else have similar feelings?

Yes! I love getting rid of the stuff I once thought I needed. I was an idiot, apparently.

I wish I gave away more than I do. Sometimes I just don't have the energy to pack it up although it is always on my mental list of things to do.

I mostly have rubbish I want to keep using myself. I am generous with sharing my digital music collection though :p It also has a great advantage when selecting music at friends places :D

I think I need to go digital with my music Asmodean, because so far I have resisted. You know I generally like to go to the music store and have a look around. But digital would be cheaper, faster and more convenient I agree.

I would still like to expand my record collection but even when I do I will always keep the same music digital too and probably play it more often for the reaons you mentioned indeed. I really dig playlists a lot too so that's why I'm mainly playing my music in winamp

Well if you don't remove it it will just stay :D But anyway most of my friends still use winamp for their music as well! Unless they have a media center going.

Haha awesome.. I'll have to see if I can download it and use it. It will bring back some memories! When I was in elementary school, I had a friend who had winamp on her computer and she always called it WOMP haha

giving people things statistically makes you more consistently happy and for longer periods than acquiring things.

It's better to give than to receive!

You have to give to those who need it when you are able so you can receive when you need it in your turn.
