We usually smock weed. But are there any other ways to get high with weed? I heard they make brownies with weed in Amsterdam. Can anyone help me enjoy it more?
I think edibles are great. They are too intense for some people, it's more of a full body high. It lasts longer, it takes away the only negative side effect of smoking pot.....the tar and other gross stuff you're inhaling. But there is a romanticism with smoking that you lose with edibles. And the taste of a delicious green hit is something stoners will always love. I enjoy both, but more often than not I'm smoking. More because the prep time and the time it takes to kick in than anything. Keep in mind that edibles are not limited to brownies. Anything that calls for oil or butter can be ganjafied.
I heard a lot of good things about vaporizing it, better for the lungs, more efficient (so you can use less, and then pay less), but vaporizers seem to be quite expensive, and also I heard the taste was not really the same. I'm certain lots of people here could tell you about it more accurately than i can
Allot of long time smokers don't like vaporizers because they can't feel the smoke. When using one it doesn't feel like you are inhaling like it does with smoke. But once you get used to it, they are quite nice. The initial cost of a vaporizer can be a lot, but there are cheaper options like the vapor genie, but that is not a true vaporizer. If your going to make edibles use shake to make some butter, or the firecracker method.
when i was doing that stuff a lot more, i used to like edibles, but it's kind of hard to pull off, you need your own space because it really stinks up the kitchen. you also kind of need to know what you're doing or else the edibles don't turn out that great and it's kind of a waste. if they're good, though, it's worth it. it was fun to eat them and smoke a bowl or two like an hour and a half after eating em. LetLovinTakeHold is right, though, edibles can get pretty intense...
Vape it. Yeah if you cook it add butter. It needs a lot of fat content to bind it. Cannabutter is great use a lot of butter and that way you have a block of butter that gets you high. Eat a little first to see how it hits you. Wait an hour or so. Next day try a little more. Eating it makes a slower acting high. Start small though use too much it will blow your mind. Put it on toast or add to food.
You can extract the thc and cannabinoids and make a thc tincture. Takes away the negatives of smoking it and the bulk/smell of edibles. Smoking weed is my fav though.
There are many ways to get high off of marijuana aside from smoking. It seems everyone has already provided an answer, so I'll just add my experience Edibles are great, if you can buy any as opposed to make it, it will be even better. Anywhere from 100mg-300mg is great! Your high will last longer, and be very intense! I much prefer this, but many people I know prefer smoking. Edibles will come in many varieties, from the classic "Special Brownie" to different types of Teas, candies, snacks, even Mac and Cheese. I suggest a type of method that doesn't make you taste the herb for too long, like a hard candy. It's not repulsive, but it doesn't taste good. A couple of people have now mentioned Vaporizing your weed. I can now say from personal experience this is a great alternative. But it does have some downsides to a pot smoker. Aside from your intake of tar and Carbon Monoxide while inhaling pot smoke, it's a rather safe substance. By vaporizing weed, you heat the herb just before combustion, so you get all of the parts you want out of the bud, and non of the health risks (Well significantly less of the health risks) There are a few things I want to add with the vaporizer from personal experience. At first I felt a little disappointed, because that relief from smoking is lost. Have you had any experience with hookah? It's similar to hookah, but you won't be blowing out a milky smoke, you'll just be exhaling .. well vapor. It's like seeing your breath in the cold. The taste is much different, and you won't be encompassed with that sweet smell you know and love. But the premise is just the same, you'll get high right away, and it takes less weed to do so. But not by enough for it to really make a difference in your funds. I don't think I can post links on forums, I'm always confused with that rule. But I found a $200 Vape on eBay for a deal of $30. (So they claimed, but I have indeed seen this brand/model in the store before) Most vapes will run for a couple of hundred dollars. So I hope you can get a deal like I can! After about a week, I found I really did prefer vaping over smoking. And now I don't feel too bad about having the occasional smoke sess with the friends, because I'm not always smoking in the tar when I'm by myself. Hope this helps!
Oh yeah. If you can, try to find BHO. Butane Honey Oil. Very potent and sticky. You could freeze it for a bit which makes it like hard candy. Or just add to food or brush some on the inside of a blunt. I don't smoke anything rolled but it's a good way of adding it to herb.
They're pretty easy to find, just look it up. But it works the same way as smoking in terms of getting high because you're heating the herb to a temperature that basically extracts the canabonoids (sp?) but doesn't combust the herb. By smoking, you're obviously combusting the weed and you get largely an identical effect. BUT, through combustion, you are inhaling larger amounts of tar and carbon monoxide that can greatly affect your lungs. This usually isn't a big problem, because you smoke less weed than you do tobacco generally. But if you're a big smoker, switching to vaporizing is a big step towards improving your health while still getting high. I'd only recommend a vape for someone who smokes casually and frequently. If you smoke only on the weekends, it probably isn't worth the investment for your money or health.
