So I have this neighbor who parks his truck partially in my drive way SMACK DAB against my vehicle. My daughter's carseat is on my passenger side, which is impossible to open.

Since he's very apparently stepping over his propery and into mine, would the reprocussions be very limited if I were to say ram into his car?

Our house was vacant for a number of years before we bought it, and I have a
sneaking suspicion that he thinks we're fucking his shit up, at least his parking situation.

    Fence = Good neighbor.

if he drives a truck and you drive a car, the repercussions would probably involve damage to your car that is worse than to his. if you also drive a truck, you're more likely to come out even on that one.

i don't know the legality on such a thing. i would imagine slamming your door repeatedly into the side of his vehicle would not violate any laws. or you could always go talk to him about it if that hasn't been tried yet. or put in the fence you mentioned.

then there's always pissing in his open window, sand in the gas tank, flaming bag of poop on the front porch, etc.

i've found a fair amount of random trash in the bed of my truck. it never occurred to me it was because i was parking like an asshole.

if you're going this route, you should at least try to make most of the trash be dirty diapers.

The situation is not hypothetical since it is real. It is the action that you want to take against his truck that is hypothetical.

Put fish in his wheel well. It will stink but he won't be able to find it. It will drive him crazy

I would either do that ramming car door into his truck thing, or park your car like an ass too - like smack bang behind him.

that's a pretty good one too. there's also planting nails in the ground where his tires normally end up.

put a string of barbed wire across your driveway entrance whenever you aren't coming or going.

Have you tried talking to him? I'd do that first.

If that failed... then I'd do some interesting things.

Place I used to live had a **** in a truck who kept blocking access to the motorbike parking area... tried talking to him reasonably three times - he kept ignoring me.

Started off by removing the valves from hire tyres. At least two, so he would have to get rescue in the morning and be late for work. He kept parking there... I must've done this 6 times.

Still no response... used superglue to make the word **** on his windscreen... sprinkled yellow fluorescent glitter on it.

Then he finally started parking elsewhere - a good 6 months later when I left that property - he still had the word on his windscreen :D

When we first moved in, the guy actually came up and asked if we minded him parking a tad bit in our driveway. His driveway goes back a good bit further than ours, and because of the way my garage is built, there's probably only three feet of space on my property that runs parallel to the back of his driveway. He was told that as long as we would comfortably get our cars in, it would be OK for NOW. Well, he stopped parking in the far end of his driveway, like a douche. I've contacted the county about seeing if I need a permit to extend my fence to the driveway.

I don't mind having a chat with the neighbor, but I'm not going to say something twice. Just yesterday, I talked to my other neighbor about his retaining wall crumbling into my fence/yard. The dude is Mexican, and I don't speak a lick of espanol, however there was an effort made. He had a friend that spoke the English, and he seemed cool about it. If he takes care of his shit that's fuxking my shit up great. If not, I'm going to call the county to see what can be done.

Do not forget that whatever you do to his truck he could do to your car just as easily. Talk to him first then do whatever you feel is necessary.

    Totally agree with BBAD.

Having disagreements or hard feelings with a neighbour you still have to live beside is never a wise thing.

Legally mark your property boundary and that is resolution.

    Welcome to suburbia.
