I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted, until I reached the age of thirty. It happens to everyone, at some time later in life, when the metabolism slows down.

    Everyone picks at eachother.
I'm not over weight but i'm not skinny either and i have been called fat all through out high school by skinny girls.

I have also seen many other 'fat" girls being picked on and made fun of because of their weight. Thats why many "fat" girls end up with eating disorders like anorexia and bullemia. I don't agree with anyone picking on any "skinny" girls or "fat" girls but it does happen both ways.

Also, it seems like the media is what portrays skinny girls to be beautiful. You look at commercials and pictures and how often do you see fat women on there versus skinny girls besides "loose-weight fast" commercials. Even in ads like for bigger womens clothing stores like lets say lane briant is a plus size clothing store but even in those ads you see smaller women.

Why? Probably to make the women look SLIM.

I'm not talking about unhealthy skinny. I'm just talking about normal healthy slim, because apparently even healthy looking girls 'need to eat some burgers'.
I don't find it healthy being fat either, but I don't go commenting 'somebody hide the burgers!!' when I see a bigger girl.

Of course unhealthy skinny is unattractive, and so is obese. Extremes are not good.
And you just said 'Bigger girls typically have a lot more personality and they're fun to be around'. I didn't realize personality came from your weight...

I notice chicks checking themselves out too. Doesn't bother me because I like a perv but I honestly wouldn't like to date one of them. I think there's a lot of baggage in their heads when they conduct themselves that way especially in public. Just because you can force feed yourself and not put on weight doesn't mean you should because that's not really healthy either and as if you'd be so stuck up to mention that anyway  that's just an even bigger insult to the women that are a bit bigger and I find the OP to be extremely hypocritical for even mentioning it. What's the satisfaction in saying that missy?

Why hypocritical?? If they are saying that we need to starve ourselves in order to be skinny (and somebody told me something really rude in person about that), I'm just saying that it is not true! And I do try to eat healthy and I do work out, I lead a healthy lifestyle. I'm just saying that there are a lot of skinny girls that can eat, so there's no need to say rude things about how we starve ourselves.

And btw, I'm not force feeding myself, I was hungry, I feel the need to eat a lot.

Also how am I insulting bigger women by saying that? I never insult anybody based on their looks, I don't like being rude. I don't think it's an insult to a bigger woman that some women can eat without putting on weight, it's genetics, and nobody's fault. I specifically mentioned in my first post that I think there a beautiful skinny women and bigger women as well. I really have nothing against them if they refrain themselves from insulting us.

In your OP it honestly comes across, to me at least, like you have just been offended by a larger women for calling you skinny. You then mention it's wrong for either of them to make snarly remarks about the other but you felt quite comfortable announcing that you can eat what you want, when you want and any amounts of it without getting "fat". Fat is not the word anyone needs to be using in this thread. A larger women will probably find this offensive, but that didn't matter to you did it? If you want to start a thread aimed at diversity then you don't say "fat girls" when regarding them in any context. It's rude.

Secondly, how the hell is you mentioning that yourself and other women can eat like pigs and stay thin help any of the larger girls out? It doesn't, you're basically spitting in their faces. Think about what you're saying, eh? You're starting to come across like one of these princesses you don't like to be associated or stereotyped by.

I went through this bullying all through high school. Fuck skinny shaming. It is just as hurtful. Nobody wants wildfire rumours being spread that they have an eating disorder and are mentally unstable, particularly when they don't and actually eat a lot.

As for curves, I am skinny, and I have pretty a voluptuous pair of breasts, and bum. They are neither flat, not by any means. If someone wants a THICK girl, however, they will not be finding it in me. I don't think that will ever be me. Not unless my metabolism really bites the bullet when I hit middle age.

Body shaming is not okay. Either appreciate a body or just keep your damn mouth shut.

Also, this is not rare, especially in more recent years with more and more harsh online bullying. I personally see it quite often. Jests about "damn you/she need/s a sandwich" and "watch where you point those bones". A good friend of mine is about 5'7" and only weighs around 100lbs and has since high school. We used to demolish a buffet. She just posted a status a few weeks ago that she had, for the first time since she'd actually stopped growing, gained weight; a whopping ten pounds. She ended up pissing out five of those in the course of a day, water weight. She was actually pretty upset. She knows how she looks and what it makes people think and feel and she doesn't like how her bones protrude but she simply cannot gain weight at this stage in her life.

This is the type of ridiculous generalization that gets on my nerves, personally. It's so damn bitchy and catty.

First of all, I used 'skinny' just as much as I used 'fat'. I used 'slim', 'skinny' and 'bigger', 'curvy' and 'fat', so it's not like I just used 'slim' for my category and a pejorative term for everybody else. I used them interchangeably without positive or negative connotation. I even think I used 'skinny' more that I used 'fat', I was not doing that to be offensive, and I'm certainly not insulting anyone to their face (or otherwise) for having a different body type than me.

And again, the fact that I am saying that we don't necessarily need to starve ourselves is a response to 'eat a cheeseburger, you skinny twig'. I don't go commenting on pictures of bigger girls saying that I can eat whatever the hell I want.

And again (cause I feel that you are not hearing me), I know a lot of curvier women that are beautiful, as I know a lot of skinny ones that are not. It is not just about body type. This thread was not about this.

Edit: Again i forgot to quote... I'm replying to Yqqdrasil

Well put. This is all extremely pig headed and hypocritical. One girl thinks she's in the right so she can say what she wants and is too pig headed to take anyone elses opinion or observation and instead critisizes other members for their individual thoughts on the matter. What the fuck is the point of a forum? :biker:
And you know what pip? If I found something that you said to be offensive or rude, the percentages are many others are bound to as well.
You're being just as catty and bitchy as anybody else.

You didn't offend me so there's nothing to get over. How many anorexic girls (that you know for a fact are anorexic and not just naturally skinny) and 'heavy' girls do you hang out with though that the scenario you described is something you know happens? Just seems like you created it out of the general assumptions and such, that's all. Like you pulled it out of nowhere just for the sake of argument.
