It's been awhile since I've looked forward to summer, considering HI is summer year round. Now that I'm enjoying the good ole Midwest, I am excited about the thought of summer. Im looking forward to walking my daughter. Taco bike rides My euro trip My friends' weddings Going home for our town's annual celebration Catching some free concerts over in Counciltucky Tanning Planting a garden Getting a new fence around my house Washing my car Central Air Bringing my daughter to the park/pushing her on the swing Swimming Camping Bon Fires
Mostly taking my son out into the woods, parks, and doing my best to give him a good upbringing. Maybe hitting a few music festivals, but it's getting harder to do that at my age.
Right on. We were going to try and do Coachella. My husband has an aunt that's just miles from where it's held. We were going to stay there versus camping, but the lineup sucks balls. I have no real desire to hang out and camp with a bunch of D bags that seem to be attracted to the music fests. I feel I may be getting too old and crotchety for them anyhow.
what the hell is a taco bike ride? the warm weather and a steady paycheck will be nice, but i'm really getting used to the whole working-limited-hours-over-the-winter thing, and it's currently looking like i'll be working pretty much nonstop over the summer, so i'm actually not looking forward to it much at all.
I don't really know exactly what a taco bike ride is, but it's a big thing in Omaha. I guess it's a bike ride, where you stop along the way to drink and eat tacos. I like drinking and eating tacos. The bike ride will help to ensure my ass doesn't get too big I suppose. What kind of work do you do?
Late nights Bike rides Perching in trees Road trips The beach Swimming in mother ocean Concerts Tripping Parties Long walks Summer sunsets Thunderstorms Being wild Fully bloomed trees Summah love :sunny:
Best friend number two, Allie, moving back from Iowa. We're gonna get druuunnk.... And smoke menthol cigarettes.
a bike ride with drinking and tacos actually sounds pretty great. i'm a small town park and rec director. we have no indoor facilities, so there's not much work as far as maintenance or programming during the winter months.
I am so excited about my wedding. It's going to be a really cheap really quick ceremony because it looks like we're probably going to be living on a tight budget for awhile, but we get to see some old friends who I love and miss dearly. I'm particularly excited about Daniel's best friend coming to be his best man because we haven't seen him since his cousin got married about 5 years ago. Since then, he's produced a male heir who is the cutest little boy I have ever seen pictures of. His kids are so adorable it's stupid. I hope they get to come, too. I also really hope we go on a family vacation with the in-laws this year. We were supposed to go to Vegas last summer, but "finances got tight" (I put two and two together when his sister announced she was pregnant a month later), so we didn't go. I haven't been on vacation since I was 12 years old and there's no way I could afford it on my own, no way my parents will ever be able to afford one again, so the in-laws are my only hope. Haha. Maybe if anything, I can go with my old boss to her lake house again this summer. If her daughter's not an insufferable bitch, maybe I'll want to stay longer than 3 days. lol
