Hi, I would like to move to a commune in a couple of years after my 18 year old son and his friend move out. I was raised by a deadhead mother. When I was between ages 14 and 18 I lived in a commune farm in Northern MN. The farm no longer exists. Now I am nearly 50 and I decided rather than living alone and dealing with an empty nest I would like to live a communal lifestyle again. If there are any communes looking for new members please let me know. I am physically disabled and unable to do much physical stuff but I am great at writing, I do art and I know basic programming on computers. I also have developed websites. I am open minded about many things. I do not smoke anything or do street drugs but I have friends who do. I believe in legalizing pot even though I do not use it. I just can't be around second hand smoke because of lung problems. I have worked in collective restaurants and bakeries before I became disabled. I lived off the grid for 8 years with my ex husband and our children. Right now I am a non traditional student working on my bachelor degree.

I think one problem for me with finding a commune is that I am physically disabled.I am willing to move just about anywhere but I cannot do bending , standing and lifting. I do have many talents in arts, crafts, and with computer programming and website design. Most communes seem to want people who can do many hours of physical labor. I can even teach spinning, weaving, macrame, bead work, lace making, mask making, and sewing. So i do have some things to offer.
