Everyone has their own opinion on women soldiers and how far the line is drawn and whether women should or should not be used in the frontlines of warfare. So what do you think, the usa military just expanded all services to women including frontline, direct combat?

I think women should wash the military clothes and cook the military food, but not fight.

Under the current system, essentially the question is "Should women be allowed to go to war on behalf of the corporations that own the United States, just like men?" Then, the debate can be over "men this, women that, men this, women that," instead of "When are humans going to get tired of killing each other off and decide there are much better ways to spend the twenty-first century? What in the living hell is anybody--Iran, Israel, France, Great Britain, the United States, or anyone else--doing with freaking nuclear weapons?" It never seems to be the "right time" for questions like that, because we're too busy with "Group X this, Group Y that" and "That's Just The Way It Is" kind of talk.

8 to 5 in favor of women being used in direct combat. I'm counting the "as long as we have equal rights" answer as well ;)

I voted no. Because I was in the Army and women can be a distraction. Not the womans fault! Men start thinking with the wrong head and things happen. Rape is another reason. The men in those situations have very high stress levels and it would make for greater opportunity to relieve themselves. Pregnancy in the military will also be on the rise. If a female soldier gets taken as a POW she will most likely be raped.

I love women and have no problem with them being in the military.

    Just my opinion.

I don't get the controversy over this. Women are already in combat.

I voted yes. Women should have the same rights to invade countries illegally, kill innocent people and die in unjust wars for the corporations as any man.

    I voted yes.

I was the Army for a short duration, at one point during basic training the question was brought up by a private who's name I can't remember. It was explained to him that women were not allowed on the frontline's because men could not get used to seeing to their mutilated corpses, and often times a man would act irrationally protective of his female collegues in times of battle which in turn made him a less effective soldier.

For the most part it made sence, its nature in general for men to be protective of women, espechially a women with whom they are close with.

However, I think that given the right amount of adjustment time men could grow used to seeing women on the frontlines.
