I don't smoke cigarettes, so the best thing i've done is throw away all shitty gross ashtrays and just use easily disposible cans or the sink. Never anything left behind now.
I dislike full ashtrays but they are emptied in a second. Actually, it takes about the same amount of time as throwing away a disposable can Also have a really nice ashtray myself, would not like to miss mine at all. Perhaps yours just wasn't aesthetically pleasing?
I hate ashtrays, too. They're so gross. I use those star shaped glass screens (or sometimes this small screw) in my bowl and it often falls into the ashtray and I gotta pick it out. I hate that. Anytime there's a gust of wind, for whatever reason, the ash 'foofs' all over my desk. I need a new system.
Yep, I hate getting stuff out of the ashtray as well naturally, same with the ash getting in other places than the ashtray for whatever reason but I have studied and observed this devious situation intensively and have concluded my ashtray itself was in fact not to blame
I need to make a screen out of strong magnet. The theory being, that I could wave a magnet over the ashtray and pick it up that way.
I smoked lots of bowls so ashing it always in one made sense. but now i dont have that thing sitting around for a few days or week and get the smell or have to clean it. or having a couple time, it fall over onto the carpet. pissed! never again.
