:daisy: To all Family :daisy: As we all know by now the Gathering for this year is likely to be in Hopkins Prairie in Ocala N.F. I would like everyone to think of your own personal energy and expectations for this event. So far as I can see the rainbow is a chance for people of like mind to come together in a natural setting and give homage to our mother earth, our fellow beings and to take a moment of fresh air to reflect, feel and embrace life. All this said there are many different energies and expectations for Ocala in my opinion. At last years nationals (Cherokee N.F.) which admittedly was my first rainbow event, I noticed a split between some old hard line hippy folk and the more rowdy elements associated with A-camp and other affiliates. The truth is that we accept all people, of all tribes,colors,backgrounds and even intoxication preference. I find a strange dichotomy between the more holistic and visionary of our brethern and on the opposite the more nihilistic and bacchal. We are all crying out for a world that works sensibly. Not the Mutant Viral Capitalism we are experiencing now. But a world in which all interests are reconciled peaceably and where no mouth is left unfed. What Rainbow is to me is a gathering of energies so wild and varied that even in its sometimes chaotic manifestations still holds beauty. While all this is taking place, we must be mindful that we are protected by the to "peaceably assemble". So our gathering must remain peaceful. In a time when the erosion of rights is taking place daily on CSPAN we must respect the land we are using. So as to be blameless in our movement. LEO is a lion scouring to and fro the earth searching for the purpose of his injustices. Let us stand without shame or fault before him.
