has to be one of the funkiest rock bands out there, if not THE funkiest rock band. i've heard they put on one hell of a show live, but i haven't been able to see them. flea is definitely one of my favorite bass players, and one of the most energetic also... some of my favorites... road trippin (my favorite road trip song, period.) johnny, kick a hole in the sky californication otherside suck my kiss under the bridge
I really like RHCP, I used to have a thing for anthony the lead singer before he cut his hair....my favorite song by them is "Breaking the Girl"
I really like the chili peppers too, Breaking the Girl is a good song; nice chords. Another one I really like is Doped.
I think they're pretty nice to listen to at any time of the day. I don't own any albums from them but I think my little brother does, I'll ask him if I can borrow it right now. Ah, yes. NP: RHCP - By the way
Chili Peppers are a way fun live act. I caught 'em a few times live, but the best performance was in a little outdoor courtyard, behind a bar in St. Petersburg FL., called Club Detroit. They call the courtyard Jannus Landing. I was there with one of my more memorable dates as well. The show was her idea. Besides the many other tats on her body, I especially remember the spider web tats between the webbing of her fingers. She was pretty hardcore, and I remember we did trip that night. Well, Red Hot Chili Peppers played a speeded up cover of Hendrix's Crosstown Traffic. It sounded sorta like a 45 RPM record being played at 78 speed. It was so so funny. I remember dancing and laughing really hard at the same time. What a great show! Oh, and I also remember that they all came on stage wearing nothing but diapers that night. How crazy!
I've really gotten into the RHCP in the last year. I saw them live in Japan, and I'd love to see them again.
one hot minute is an AWESOME cd... too bad about heroin addictions though... that cant end well.. sucks when awesome musicians die from drugs...
One Hot Minute was my first RHCP album and was really good but i'm glad Dave Navarro was only with them for that short amount of time.
I've always liked them. I saw them live once, we drove from miami to destin to catch the show there in 2000. They were good but I expected more energy from them than we got. Foo Fighters opened and while I dont like their music at all, I do like Dave Grohl from his drumming days with Nirvana and he jumped off the stage to grab a beer from the back on the floor. I was the first one up to him, so that was cool. His energy and his band's energy was way better than RHCP.........to bad I cant stand their music.
I LOVE RHCP! Their sound is awesome & their energy really shows in the music. It somehow gets me pumped...even when I've been having a so-so day. I'd have to say my favorite songs are: The Zephyr Song & By The Way.
