I'm bored as hell at work so I figured that I'd bitch about it and put it under a stupidly named title that makes no sense.

Graveyard shift sucks.

I'm not joking. I'm this close to reading the entire "Let's make this the longest thread ever in Hipforums" thread starting at page 1. Just to find out how many IQ points you would lose doing something so asinine.

 

I decided to write a poem in dedicated to this post.

Is all I have while work is dead
I had to come in anyway they said
but I would rather be in bed
Longest thread in forums I almost read
but a healthier choice was to just eat lead
Hell I'd even watch that terrible movie Drop Dead Fred
Than sit here after my mind just fled

I work in a post surgery ward at a hospital as a nurse.

We only have 2 patients on the floor at the moment and they are both sound asleep.

 

sounds boring. i think im gonna go to bed. have fun!

Maybe you should take a nap there. After all a nap there would be way better than in your own bed since you'd be getting paid to nap.

Just on the offhand chance the ER will send someone up I can't be caught nappin.

I'll just rest assured that I'm gettin paid to play on the net for about 9 hours.

 

awwwww now lodog ,,, be thankful that ya have the net to play around on for 9 hours of probably sheer nutter boredom,,,,, back in the old days we didnt have the net to amuse us while we had them boring xmas shifts on graveyard in the hospital.... i can say i did alot of reading n crossword puzzles in them days

 

The worst part is knowing that where you're at it's already almost 2 hours past 7. Over here I still have 2 and some change to go.

So it is with hate in my heart that I must damn the timezones for not being in my favor. "Damn you timezones, Damn you straight to hell."

I'm being overly dramatic, because it's fun to type in an overly dramatic style.


It doesn't suck that bad though.

on an interesting side note, I hope whoever reads this thread doesn't hate the constant barrage of Groucho Marx's mug.
