Is a man with his shirt off always viewed in a sexual manner nowadays? I would LOVE to hear both male and female views on this.
I do view bare chested men in a sexual manner. I discreetly check them out and store their bare chests in my spank bank.
Depends on what the bare chest looks like...hot and muscular..then hell ya, but if lacking in any definition or evidence that the person lifts anything more than a beer can, then no, not always. Edited to add: I am only speaking for myself here that yes I view topless men with hot muscles in a sexual manner.....even if the guy is wearing a top and I can tell he is stacked I view him in a sexual manner.....this is only how I look at hot topless men because I'm perverted like that, I'm not suggesting that others look at a topless man in a sexual manner because I would not assume I can speak for others
So there's a double standard then? If the guy is in good shape then him removing his shirt comes off as sexual, but if the guy is not in good shape it's just viewed normal?
I'm sorry, my statement has come off wrong....In my statement I am not assuming any intention on the topless guys part...I'm suggesting that if the guy looks hot in a topless picture then I think of it sexually....if he doesn't then I don't....I don't make assumptions on the intentions of others...I can only speak for the effect it has on me. My posts may not make sense. I'm tired.
that's not a double standard... it just means she doesn't see people she isn't attracted to in a sexual way.
I wasn't talking about the intentions of the guy. I'm talking about how the person viewing the guy sees it. And it sounds like you're suggesting that there's a double standard based on how in shape the guy is.
It is a double standard if a guy who's in shape can't take his shirt off without it being viewed in a sexual manner, while other guys can take their shirts off and it's all normal.
People say that Peter Frampton giving in and doing a shirtless photo at the request of the French photographer in the late 70s ruined his career (the career of Frampton, not the French photographer). Well, ok. Maybe the French photographer's career got ruined too. People said it didn't make Frampton look masculine/sexy but rather that it gave the impression that he was gay.
They must have viewed homosexuality differently back then, because his skinny ass does not appear gay to me. Besides, today there is the Metrosexual with which most everyone is comfortable.
depends. sometimes i have found myself distracted when guys take off their shirt. but i imagine they're more distracted by my boobs.
Seeing a random guy in public take their shirt off isn't sexual. But when I see sig pics that are topless men, I usually jump to the same place I jump to when a female puts up a sexier pic in their sig. It seems like either over compensating for low self esteem or so full of vanity to think we need to see how 'hot' you are every time you post.
not necessarily. i have pretty decent self esteem. i just like my sig pic alot. i have a lot of fun performing. although i suppose there is a certain amount of vanity to it. but so what? be confident in your skin
Babyjay, I'm so glad you decided to post here . Now MH can whine about yet another person sig pics being too sexual.
Fair enough. Wanting attention isn't a bad thing either. It's just the first place my mind jumps to when I see a pile of faceless people contrasted to someone who's compelled to share their body. I prefer a little mystery to online personas. Only bringing it up because it's the topic. It's not something I actually care about.
