Ok so i always am barefoot during spring and summer but i live in washington where once fall hits its rainy and cold. Im starting to go barefoot more often in the fall and winter and maybe even make it a full time thing. My feet tend to go numb almost right when i get outside though since the pavement is always soaked and avoiding small puddles can be almost impossible at times. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me? The cold can almost get unbearable at times and itll hurt. I was also wondering if there was a different way you walk when barefoot. Ive heard that there is. Oh and tips for gravel would be great too, i end up takeing an hour to get across like 10 feet of gravel. (i may be exaggerating a bit) anyway thanks
hi and welcome bro. it's all about getting accustomed to it, can't say much about cold cause i rarely experience sub 0°C temps here but about gravel and rough surfaces , your soles just tough up over time. don't ask too much from your feet and happy BF'ing. hugs

A lot of barefoot dilemmas start in the mind. Just relax when you walk, it sounds simple but really it helps. Walking on gravel and such is somewhat about tough soles but also muscle tension prevents your feet from absorbing and cushioning the texture. But You don't have to walk through everything just like ur wearing shoes, often I find the most elegant solution is to walk around obstacles It's all experience you'll find your way, but most of all be happy and enjoy the freedom Shayla xx
