some people have really great experiences on salvia and some have really bad ones, some have simple distortions such as gravity while others have visions? what is it that makes some people have good trips and others have bad trips? is it just like every other psychedelic in that aspect or is there more to why some have fun and some feel horrible?

what is good or bad? how are dreams?
salvia is close to dreaming while awake.
    whatever can happen does.
mental content is the material that gets reconstrued through a template that is itself.
I would not take it at all if I practiced an attitude of frustration and disappointment if you know what I mean.
but if you like doing good things for yourself and others you may have the kind of attitude that can reflect through itself in a very positive way.

well what might be a bad trip to one person could be a good trip to another...

i've learned that the only thing you really get scared of is yourself.. and why should you be??

Well said redvines. I don't think salvia can be defined into good trips and bad trips. How you approach and enter the experience is key. She reveals what one needs to experience at the moment. Sometimes that is intense and takes some time to understand, post trip.

Well, you'll know if you're having a bad trip. Salvia can be totally overwhelming, and for me it often is. It's one hell of a psychedelic journey into the mind, and certainly the strangest substance I have ever encountered (except for maybe 5-MeO-DMT, but salvia has overpowering visuals comparatively and is just so totally fucked up).
