Did Beiber go to the press and say: 'Hey guys, please print some half baked thoughts on my private life, and speculate about it further for a few months - thanks'? Or did the media jump on it like a fevered fox on a rabbit? Who in the end is making him 'special'? The celebrity mags and celebrity shows have to fill with something.

Well I DID say sad for society... I didn't say it's his fault. I think that the existence of celebrity magazines and shows (at large, not that there's anything wrong with a legitimate human-interest piece, now and again) is a symptom of a sick society.
RooRshack To be fair, celebrity culture is on a whole other level in the US compared to here. In the US EVERYBODY and ANYBODY seems to have some celebrity cache - even if it Z rather than A. Coupled with the fact a lot more TV time seems to be devoted to Celebrity (multiple chat shows on every night etc) - it just must be overwhelming. It's certainly seems easier to turn that tap off here than it is there, I imagine. I dunno. Is elevating individuals up to epic celebrity status' and creating 'special' people sad for society? I can definitely see how it could be. But it still feels like a prism - I turn it just slightly and a whole other perspective/reality seems to be there. A simple answer - I dunno.
At this point I think it's mostly a bandwagon thing. Basically everyone rags on the kid except his fans now.
I disagree, I can see most often the dislike is genuine and sincere. I guess except kids, fans and gullible people most others see right through this fabricated image. If they can't be bothered with that, then there are the music fanatics who see right away Biebers music is made to score with kids and has a cliché formula and is to put it simply not interesting to people that have at least some kind of developed music taste.
One of the worse performers, who acts like a spoilt brat but that is extreme to say something like that though you should never wish to kill anyone

I'm constantly hearing middle-aged people that have likely never heard his music diss him. I hear more older people than younger people bitching about him off the net.. I'm not defending his garbage in anyway - but there are scores of popular artists just as fabricated, repulsive and mindless - it makes absolutely no sense how much hate this one particular one receives, when someone like say.. his girlfriend, Selena Gomez has music that's ten times worse, no personality to their personality, and she's only hated on by the girls and guys that think Bieber's their hubby. PS I apologize for the lack of periods in that rant.
I do not want anything bad to happen to Justin Beiber. I feel sorry for him after his break up with Selena Gomez. I think some day she will be sorry. He seems like such a nice young man. On the other hand my husband does not like the man, for no reason. I pray the lord's blessings on him. I think his job might be hard, I am sorry he ran into a mirror and went into a coma while performing. I pray that God helps him and heals him and give him a better girlfriend.
I think the man is adorable. Hope he marries that Selena Gomez, I heard he gave her a red rose for her last birthday. He really has the love hots for her. Best to them.
