I have search all over the net but have not been able to find an answer to my question. My question is when can i feel opiates after taking 6mg at around 11:50am today and when will i be able to feel the full effect of opiates. I have heard for low doses it is 24 hours but i am not sure bc all i can find is about 8mg and up. Would i feel the effects around noon tomorrow? I am wondering how much leaves your system hour by hour.
Yea suboxone is what i am on. Thanks for the answer i hope that works. I messed up and took suboxone and then my dude came through.
If you took 6mg, i would at least wait 50 hours +, my experience was no full effects until after 72 hours.
Ness, the first time one takes Suboxone is different than every other time after. I used to get high for a full 72 hours; Now, I barely feel 8mg after 24 hours.
Serious question here. I don't mean to be a smart ass AT ALL. So please don't take it that way, I just have a serious question. Why quit heroin and get suboxone if you're still getting high? Isn't the point of getting clean to be sober? & does anyone use IV for their subs? I know alot of people who do that edit. I guess I didn't really read that completely through. My bad. I'm pretty out of context here.
Suboxone doesnt really keep getting you high. Eventually, you don't feel it anymore. Methadone is what I'm on. I get a dose in the morning and it lasts all day. But I quit using vics/heroine because it is illegal, and VERY expensive as opposed to Methadone (which is 12$ a day!!)
Yeah. People have also told me you don't get used to it like other opiates. I take 65 MG a day, and it lasts all day. (some people need more others need less) but once you're stabilized, you still get the opiate high off it! It's great, I'd recommend it to anyone trying to stop using pills or heroine.
I had to quit cold turkey cause the rehab I went to didn't offer it. :/ But I'm glad I did I guess, from a sober standpoint but it would have been nice from an addict standpoint to get high lol
Yeah. Well I have RA and my spine sort of bends, so I'm in horrible pain daily. I figured the methadone clinic was better than snorting pills and heroine everyday for my back pain (which was incredibly expensive.) So, I've been in the clinic like 3 months now, and I like it a lot. They even have addiction counselors and everyone's so nice. They don't treat you like just some druggie.
For me, it takes at least 40 hours to get decent effects from another opiate after taking Suboxone. 72 hours for full effects. That's for heroin. With Dilaudid, if I do double my regular dose I can get noticable effects after 12 hours, but it's still quite a waste. It sucks, I once wasted a quarter g of heroin because I didn't know about the blocking properties of buprenorphine. StpLSD, does methadone block the opiates like buprenorphine? I'm seeing a doctor on Friday to get either Suboxone or methadone. My family doctor has me on 30mgs of hydrocodone a day to keep away WDs, so I'm going to see if I can stay on that, or maybe even get Hydromorph-Contins, something my family doctor considered but most likely I'll be on bupe or meth after Friday.
Hate that shit..... The other day a buddy was picking up some 30$ for 30 a piece.....no sooner did he get them in hand the dude who had em for 25 text back....... Fuckin doh!
RA sucks, how long have you had symptoms for? I was diagnosed about a year ago, getting really bad lately. Are you on Plaquenil or methotrexate or anything to slow the progression?
No I'm not. I was diagnosed at age 21 or 22. It does suck!! No, my original doctor didn't give me anything, so I got bad on street pain killers and dope (heroine)
You should really see a rheumatologist man, without medication the disease can cause some really serious joint damage. It probably will anyway, but DMARD drugs will slow the progression. I've also noticed that fish oil helps a little bit.
I take IB Prophen and put icy hot on my back. The reason I don't like those RA medications like Lyrica, is cause many of them cause death, and other crazy side effects. Btw man, I wrote on your wall. Sorry if I did give you a neg rep (I really don't remember.) But, the way people were being about my child being killed really got to me, and made me really mad and upset. I am sorry though for taking it out on you.
Cmon, don't judge like that. I'm beginning Suboxone on Friday, not to get clean and sober, but to make sure I'm not sick when I'm out of money or the region is dry. As to IVing subs, I have many times (only way I take them) and for me, in the circumstances I took them, it was very effective. I had a very nice stimulating opiate buzz pretty much all day.BTW, the naloxone in the Suboxone does nothing, it's too low of a dosage to interfere with the buprenorphine.
