At last a prequel to alien. Check imdb and especially the speech by Guy Pierce [that is not in movie] Looks greet. Also for fans of 'starship trooper' hillarious flicks.. IRON SKY
I saw it tonight and I think its one of the most boring movies I have ever seen. I was really dissapointed in what I was expecting to be a reasonable movie. In fact I started to doze off half way through the movie. Alien was greaat but Prometheous was really boring crap !!!
I would have to agree. After seeing the previews I was excited on seeing this movie, but walked away a little disappointed. I feel all the good scenes were shown on the previews. The only good thing in the movie was Charlize Theron, I really enjoy her as an actress.
All the good bits in every movie are showed on the previews. That's why there's no point in watching comedies at the cinema.
This movie SUCKED!!! I was so disappointed! After seeing it once, I tried to like it so I attempted to watch it a second time. Usually if I watch a movie twice, I can get a liking to it but not with this one. It was just poor writing and the characters-other than David-were just lame. It made me want to watch the first Alien even more. Man, what a let down.
http://scifimovieguru.com I did not know going into the theater that this was a prequel to the Alien movie franchise. With everything else going on I missed this one. I kept thinking that I had seen most of this before and done much better. It had great potential but only during the last half hour did I realize what this was. Made that half hour very good for me. However I do have to give this movie only 2 Planets out of five.

Hey all, Im new but i get so much shit for liking this flick that I was finally reduced to admit that it looked so beautiful and amazing but failed in every way to be a stand alone movie or even make sense for that matter. I broke down to my friends after constant ridicule that it sucked ass.
Having seen the 'follow up' films to the original classic, I saw it with an open mind - as a stand alone film = quite good, in relation to the 'franchise' yes it did answer some questions, however, (because I guess there are others planned(?)) asked number more - such is the geek in me = lol
