So, as you may know, here in the Northeast we are being hammered with a massive snow storm. It's actually much worse in the coastal areas than it is here, but it's still pretty bad where I am with tons of closings and motor vehicle accidents all over the place. Today was some of the worst driving I have experienced in my 15 years of driving. So I was driving on the expressway, having already passed one massive accident where a car apparently spun out of control, spinning it around 180 degrees, where it was then clobbered, head on, by another car. About 3 minutes later, I found myself sliding uncontrollably across three lanes of traffic, resulting in my car eventually spinning around to face the oncoming traffic head on. I saw a Dodge Ram barreling towards me, sliding out of control to avoid hitting me as my car managed to come to a stop. I didn't panic, though was almost certain the truck was going to slam into my car. Behind the truck a ways were a few other cars, also barreling toward me, sliding out of control. Fortunately, nobody hit me, and I was able to turn my car back around and proceed to where I was going without anything more than an adrenaline rush. But man, what a close call. That was scary, and I am lucky to not, at worst, be injured or dead, or at the very least have my car totaled.
if you dont drive fast enough for the back end to whip around. you shouldnt have a problem. I expect better of a person living that far north..
Damn, that sounds intense indeed..! We've got some snowfall here too last few days. Nothing extreme but lots of accidents either way hahaa Lots of traffic jams too. Not funny to those peeps of course but it is funny how lame we apparently handle a bit of snow and frost when it comes unexpectedly.
Man, I swear I was not driving that fast at all. I was literally driving like 40 mph, though I suppose I should have been going even slower considering the conditions and the fact that my car is so dinky and doesn't really handle that well in winter conditions.
Yeah it's ridiculous here. The situation pressed rat described happens here after the first inch of snow lol.
Here too. I guess it's also because the roads are crowded here already anyway and everyone wants to keep driving their normal speed.
i agree...you almost killed some folk cause your goddamned led foot....what if the truck hit you and there was a baby or lil kids in the back of the truck? slow the fuck down
40 is to fast for ice and snow packed road.. 25mph. its might be slow., but its not going to get you killed..
Ouch! rammed by a Ram, not good. Glad it came out alright. You'll be seeing this guy in your dreams for awhile.
lol but in his dreams the ram only wants a ride to and from work...no sex kidding rat...i would say the same shit to my favorite brother
i have snow tires on all four...all like new...half worn snow tires are garbage i drive according to conditions and know my car well i see a lot of accidents...but i dont cause them i learned my lesson from that one time i caught a snow ridge with bald rear tires and ended up backwards full speed looking head on at the transport truck that had been behind me
i have a dash cam wired up to record whenever my car is running ive not been lucky enough to catch any morons on video yet
BBAD, You have to point it out the windshield. If you do that you'll be able to get about 4.33 morons per mile. Check your storage device on the camera you probably only have shots of the headrest, cause I don't know where you drive but those maroons are all over the place here.
That's scary! It's good you're okay! I am terrified of driving in the snow, I've had some scary experiences and I try to avoid driving in the snow at all costs.
its right under my rear view mirror drivers are just not as bad here...watching todays snowstorm news is actually very funny to us ...
I wish I had a dash cam set up. I see idiots driving everytime I'm on the road. I have developed some pretty bad road rage in the past couple months driving haha. I just can't believe how many bad drivers there are out there.
many many years ago. I was traveling faster than I should. hit the snowy road and my ass was sliding in the oncoming lane. when all the sudden my car straightened out. I to this day believe it was an angel. so I dont drive like that no more. all to get home and do drugs. angel wanted to get high too and made sure we got home.
