ok, so do you have to live alone? What if you're married?

If you pick the 18 y.o. girl does she live there or only visit for sex? Is it the same female for 10 years? Do you get to pick your own female from a pool of candidates or are you just randomly assigned one? How often will she have sex with you?

Can you leave the basement at all? What about fresh air and exercise?

If I select gourmet food from the world's best chefs do I get to pick the menu each day?

If you had a library with every book ever published that would be a pretty big basement.

I would live like normal but use my time to read every book, gain loads of knowledge. The radio to listen to whats new in the world, then once my times up and I get my 10mil, I will have the knowledge and money to beable to make a difference somehow.. tobacco and pool table and music from the radio and animal would keep me sane kitchen and bath are essentials and garden and skylight for growing food and making sure my animal friend had sunlight/outsidey area to play in so they stayed healthy

 

I wouldn't do it, 10 years is to long. If I had to I'd choose the gourmet food daily and access to the money early and stock market lol

Hmm. Well for me, there couldn't be ANY compensation enough for 10 years locked up.
BUT if I was say 16, and it was 5 years or maybe 7(?) or whatever, then I'd have started doing the sums on it.

What would I have chosen? The girl would be an essential.. hehe.
I'd have to weigh up the internet, library and getting the cash upfront. Couldnt I use the Net to start investing the cash upfront somehow?

I'd probably be a writer, an investor/ learn about different things, do lots of fitness and stuff, and spend a lot of time online, talking to experts of different types. And ofcourse theres a girl there as company, who I assume would be ok. As a 16 to early 20s person, it wouldnt be that bad- when u consider the payoff.

I actually know quite a few people who've spent some time inside. Not 10 years, but shorter, and I dont think they found it that bad at all.

For a lot of people, I think this would make sense. Rather than decades of bullshit over a lifetime, they're getting the bullshit out of the way. Many can identify with that eg being a student rather than drinking, spending money and hedonistic stuff.

How many people actually wake up with a big smile that they are going to work?

However, many people would be seriously psychologically scarred from being locked away 10 yrs.
I wonder if the girl would get fat and psychotic too! hehe

I think for it to be a realistic question, the options would need to be rewritten for the female perspective. For instance, rather than the "hot girl", it would need to be "guy with genuine romantic interest", or sthg like that.

My suspicion is that for people below a certain age, there would be a LOT of takers. I've known a few people who consider their lives to be *partly* like prison eg doing a job/career they hate. So they think 9-5 is their prison.

Some people have already done such a ten-year thing on forums. They didn't get much of anything back for it either. No job or crappy job. No degree. No family. Few friends in the in-person world.

 

If I died in the ten years would the money go to my family?

I dont wanna be locked up anywhere, even my basement, for 10 years. There arent enough books or drugs to make it worth the payoff.
