Hey guys, I just posted an introduction thread cause I'm new here. Anyway, I've had an interest in psychedelics for a few years now (I'm 19 at this point), but all I've really done is weed, which I only very recently started. My question is, is it a good idea to break into the world of psychedelics with Salvia Divinorum? And if so, smoked, or quid? I know most people tend to start with mushrooms, LSD or the like, but those things are proving very difficult to get my paws on. Must just be where I live. I know smoking it would be going really far really fast, so I thought maybe chewing the leaves or a quid might be a better way to go. Thoughts on this? And if I should just avoid Sally D. for now, where should I start?
Salvia is a very unique trip, so if you do explore it I woudn't put too much emphasis on that trip when looking to explore other Psychedelics. I have only smoked it and imo I think it'd be more difficult to appreciate the trip without any prior psychedelic experience. That being said, Salvia is a very strange, twisted trip that can provide some strong mind expanding notions of alternate dimensions and the workings of reality. It has probably challenged my notions of reality as much if not more than any other Psychedelic. So if you are open minded and seek to discover some novel perceptions then go for it, just realize that it tends not to be as ecstatic and is more disorienting than most trips. With the intensity, the quickness of onset and It's short duration, Salvia trips can be difficult to integrate into normal consciousness which is the goal if you are seeking to get anything constructive from Psychedelics, so I'd reccommend going into the trip looking to gain some insight from it rather than attempting to just smoke it and see what happens if you want anything useful to come out of it.
^Agree with the above user^ Also, if you do trip salvia MAKE SURE you have a trip sitter. preferably not some asshole who thinks it's funny to fuck with you.
