Well all my (most recent) works seem to revolve around enlightenment which is represented by the all pervading rainbow light in the background. The blue being is falling, after having had wrong views, suffering from such. The being is not just blue but is also filled with red. The red hand extended about to catch the blue being represents that all of what we do is in essence coming from our true nature.. most of what we do is misguided though and that is why the blue being is falling and suffering. So even though the being is suffering and may feel like it is "all over".. the red hand represents that that is not the case and that no matter what happens our true nature is there.. like a lighthouse, or the north star, our guide. Obscurations prevent us from seeing that which is always there hence the black x's where the beings eyes are. So the blue being is ignorant as hell no doubt.. but no matter what our basic goodness is always reaching out to help.. to catch us when we are falling, to help us up on our feet. You can see that the hand/arm is red but with blue inside, opposite of the blue being. That represents the cessation of duality/concepts. The blue being looks as if he is about to slip into the veins of the arm. A drop of water falling from the sky. I don't know if that explained anything properly.. sometimes I don't really understand what I create.
It is interesting how art and writing can be interpreted differently by everyone. The artist may have a clear understanding of creating something for a certain purpose, yet people will always see something completely different. For instance, in this piece you created I see abortion in relation to knowing beforehand that the fetus is genetically predisposed to being gay.
