Doing a U turn in life. It would seem to me that many social movements have come about because people have realised this is the wrong way to go.Examples are: 1. Germany was where chemical fertilizers started but it was also the place bio-dynamic farming started when some people realised that food no longer tasted like it used to. 2 California has then most stringent emission laws in the world after the awful smog that was happening around fifty years ago. 3.It was in America that hydrogenation was first commercially practised but was also in America that so many people realised how toxic trans fat is. 4. Nazi Germany took nationalism to the ugliest degree. After the war they abandoned nationalism and became very pro- Europe.
I agree. Many of these come about after terrible situations. The biggest thing I see here is our planet. I hope we don't destroy the earth before it's too late to change :/
