Hello everyone. Thought I should introduce myself rather than just lurk around. I was finding the lurking a bit daunting anyway, what with the huge number of members and threads...rereading that last line as "huge member"

I may or may not be a hippy. I dunno. I'm a peaceable sort most of the time and I've certainly spent a fair bit of time in the past with people who thought of themselves as hippies. I even lived on a commune for a while back in the day...when my two kids were little. But that was a long time ago. Now I live by myself out in the sticks, north of the 49th. Kids are grown and moved away, though not far and I see them frequently, which is nice.

I'm somewhat artistic and a bit musical in my spare time though that usually takes a hiatus for the duration of snow covered slopes. I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie and at nearly 53, that doesn't seem to be easing off much. My work is substantially more nerdy but I dream of becoming a ski bum. I'm on vacation at the moment so it matters not that I am still up at 2am writing this little introduction...just coming down off one of those adrenaline rushes, in fact. I am getting a tad sleepy though so I'm going to cut this short...because I can go on and on and on and on and on sometimes. When I die and am cremated I think I shall have the following epitaph inscribed on some natty urn. tl;dr 'Night all.

Hi caraflower. I'll try to resist feeding the trolls...but sometimes it's such fun to watch them over-eat and hold their bellies afterward. I very rarely get hot and bothered about things like that. I'm not much of an internet warrior though I do like a rousing discussion now and then. Mostly I just like to have fun and try to avoid the mean people...'cause they suck.
