I ordered a Diva Cup online and I'm really excited. No more waste, no more tampax companies profiting off my period!
    And tips, reviews, advice?

Make sure you twist/check the base once inserted to avoid leakage! much love

but that's birth control, right? I don't need that, just a way to manage my period...

It is birth control yes but in some cases it completely stops the period altogether. Of course in other cases it makes girls bleed 24/7. For me it stopped it completely, my gf had it too in hopes it would do the same thing but it did nothing and she still gets it every month but she's had it removed since it didn't work. I still get all the hormonal emotions and alike, sore breasts, cramps etc. but I don't bleed.

I tried the Diva cup. It didn't go well and I found it irritating.
The girl told me I should go with the second size cup because of my age, but I'm not a breeder and I've always been tight. So I ended up wasting my money on it because I got the wrong size.

Maybe I'll try it again someday.

i love mine. its like not having a period at all! do twist to ensure no leakage, do clear out the holes at each cycle, clean well. and dont be afraid to trim the stem if its poking you. a little at a time. it is easier to put in if you warm it under hot water. a small learning curve, but thats to be expected.
the first few cycles i used it i did notice some soreness by the end of the cycle, but that has long since gone away. like if you wear too tight pants, not chafed, more like a mild bruised feeling.

i find it incredibly comfortable. i would never go back to tampons by choice.

I was on the implanom for a few years. When it was taken out it was a real shock to my body and emotions. Almost immediately I could no longer stand my boyfriend, I had to get rid of him, I had to get new friends, I needed a new beginning so I moved way over west of the country. I'm not the only one to go through this after reading about it on the internet but it's not that frequent. I hope you stay sane after you decide to stop using it. :2thumbsup:

I've been using a Mooncup for a few years and I love it. I feel like it's reduced cramping and I've definitely saved money! It took me a few tries to use it successfully but once you've got the hang of it, it's great. As always the most important thing is to relax!

I hated it. Tried so many times, looked up advice on the internet, it still leaked.

I wanted so badly for it to work, I was (am) so disappointed.
I still have, so I may try again some day.

How much are Diva Cups, anyhow? I've tried the softcup, and LOVED it.

I think mine was around $30 CDN. It was several years ago, so I don't remember.

    mine was about $30 USD

i never had a problem with leaks, though at first i did make and wear reusable pads just in case, i still use those when im just spotting at the end.

Just started using mine; I love it! Definitely took some getting used to, (and reading the instruction manual, duh), but I feel so empowered and awesome!
