If you had one thousand dollars to spend by Midnight...

Say like you woke up and there was an envelope next to your bed with a Visa gift card and a note that said there was $ 1000.00 on the card but at Midnight any remaining balance on the card would be voided.

How would you spend $ 1,000 by Midnight?

First off, I'd order flowers for my wife, say $ 75.

next, I'd go to the mall and buy my son a pair of sneakers he wants; $ 200.

Then, I'd get a $ 100 gift card for my daughter's favorite ice cream place and give it to her.

Then I'd buy my wife a new Coach bag, $ 150.

then I'd go to the liquor store and buy 2 bottles of really good Scotch, say $ 150.

Then I'd buy a bunch of my favorite beers, say $ 200.

and with the last $ 125 I'd take my wife out for a nice dinner.

how would you spend yours?

I would buy a visa gift card and then I could spend it anytime I wanted to.

 

I'd still hide it under the soap so no one on this site steals it.

 

put it toward my student loans if possible.

if not, i'd probably buy a new computer. i could probably spend the whole thousand just on that, but i'd probably go a bit cheaper, then fill up my truck with gas, stock up on groceries, beer, weed if i could somehow use it for that.

that would probably pretty much cover it. if not, i'd probably go out for a nice dinner or something. maybe head to the bar and buy a few rounds for whoever is there.

Hmm, dunno, I might say fly off to Europe. But then I'd have the hassle of transfers and getting back for work tomorrow. So maybe(ok probably) I'd buy something instead..

plane tix to a nice vacation spot is a good idea.
but i wouldnt have a vacation planned in this scenario.

maybe i would buy a nice gun and some ammo in case shit gets too real in this country
better get some canned goods, water and gasoline while i'm at it.

my first thought was weed until it was a credit card. i bet u could still get 900$ of weed though

I'd take it to the bank, put another 400 bucks on it and order the lights I'm getting ready to buy.

Mostly pay off bills. There would be a modest weed and psychedelic purchase and two full tanks of gas for the van for a decent road trip /geo-adventure.
