Anyways I just wanted to rant about this. I was playing xbox with a guy who was pretty much a very religious, and strict and we talked. He didn't like gays and thought hippies were idiots but He was a damn good halo player so we played. He knew I disagreed with him and he disagreed with me but it didn't matter. Later my friend was complaining that I would play with a guy like that. I just found this all very silly, and wanted to rant about it seeing as my friend wouldn't listen. I just think that even if you disagree with some one that shouldn't mean you cant still get along with them.

It seems a lot of people have a hard time grasping this idea.

 

I am friends with people of many walks of life. Both young and old. These days I am surrounded by young adults in my home but since I am a child at heart we get along. Although none call me by my name ever since a friend of my sons nicknamed me mommykins. The area I live in is very Christian. Many of whom befriend me in spite of my crystal ball, hippy cloths, and tarot cards.

That is so true. When opinion and belief limit our ability to interact with others of different opinion and belief, it will slowly corrode our opportunities.

 

There is more to learn from diverse friends then there is from like minded.

 

I figure as long as what someone dose doesn't hurt anyone else or the planet then I don't care what they do. I just find it silly some people cant just agree to disagree. Then again its nice to see a lot of other people agree with me. Plus I will admit some of the best things I have learned and the most interesting conversations where from people completely different then me.

 

The only difference I can't leave alone, is people who are obsessed with Obama! If you idolize Obama, then I don't like you! Other dumb people I can tolerate...
