    Touché.

I just asked because every thread you post in becomes an Obama thread and I was tired of waiting for it.

Hey Rat, if I remember right....didn't you use to endorse the Libertarian party pretty heavily? What made you give up on them?

Well, back in 2000, in the first presidential election in which I was eligible to vote, I voted for Harry Browne, who was the Libertarian candidate for president. Then in 2004 I voted for Michael Badnarik, who was the Libertarian candidate then. I was never a member of the Libertarian party, but I was also never a person who voted for one of the two major candidates, so I saw those aforementioned candidates as the only logical choices, since they seemed to be most in line with what I believed. Of course back then I still had some faith in the political process and thought that democracy was actually real. I later learned it isn't real, and that people have no real say through the political process whatsoever. So for the last two elections I haven't voted, because I feel it is pointless, and actually contradictory to what I believe, to play the system's game. The third parties have no real power to effect change, and if they ever did, it probably wasn't long before they were taken over and well away from their original message.
