Anyone know why pain drs. ask what kind of vitamins you take and how many? They asked my friend this when he went to one and a pain dr. asked my gf this when she went to a different one a while back. I understand them asking about your opiate intake but whats vitamins got to do with pain?

different things can interact with your opiates, they're just looking for anything that might cause problems. for example, grapefruit can make them stronger.

Yeah, I agree with the grapefruit, lol. The last time I did it I drank a full can of white grapefruit juice, maybe 48 oz, I can't remember, and about 50mg of Hydrocodone and I was nodding like a sonofabitch. Which is bad, because I don't like to nod off. I like to stay awake and enjoy it. That's why I prefer Hydro's over Oxy's. Or anything else for that matter.

Opiates constipated you. A lot of docs need to know your magnesium intake.

Agreed. I hate when I take my preferred dose, nod off, and wake up to find the experience almost over. What a waste. That's why I tend to move around and do things.
