"The Dancing Trees", an oil painting from 1967.... I had a recurring dream in 1966, of walking through a lush moonlit forest. Whenever I would look up, the trees would begin swaying back and forth in a most exagerated, but beautifully graceful and rythmically hypnotic fashion, without even a hint of a breeze. Here's a Pen and Ink drawing my son did.... "The Temple", about 20 X 24 inches on board, all freehand pen and ink (three or four hundred hours). No sketch, no ruler, not a straight line in the whole thing, in fact no lines at all! It was drawn using stippling, or tiny dots, with a Rapidigraph drafting pen that draws a line about the width of a human hair....
I am a big cat lover, I have two (Buxton & Thomas) lovely pussy cats. I think cats are so much better than dogs, their more independent and mysterious :daisy: + you don't have to walk them.. handy if you're a bit lazylike me ... Lol ...
Hello starrybee.... Here's "Tea In The Crystal Caverns". Beneath the soft pillows they sit upon, the cavern floor is fashioned of glowing crystal flagstones. Growing as if they were rooted in soil, tall graceful trees entirely manifested of gemstones emerge from the solid mineral surface, their trunks and delicate tracery of branches formed of tawny agate, with leaves of beryl and citrine.... Hello Guenn, another fantastic picture.. ... said before on here how I really wish I could draw, or paint ..... I'm not very good at relaxing .. and I think it would a great way to chill the best I've managed are huge sprawling doodles ... not very artistic sadly .. ha ha!

Here's "After The Fire", an Oil Painting from way back in 1966.... Lack of contrast was here intentionally employed to show the relatively lifeless state that exists after a fire has quickly swept through a formerly beautiful and flourishing wooded environment. Not all life is destroyed though, and there always seems to be some foliage that miraculously escapes the destruction of the inferno.... love to you all.
