Does anybody on here have any current goals? If so, what are they? How close are you to obtaining them? How long have you been workig at them? Have you modified them at all?

I finished my goal of writing my first novel. My current goal is to edit the novel, possibly add more chapters to it, and then to finish writing my second novel. The second novel is already more than halfway finished.

right now all i want to do is leave university with a 2:1, come june i'll have completed my course and i'll know, i've been working at this for about 2 and a half years now.

i average a mid/low 2:1, so although i'm technically good, a few shit marks could drag me down to 2:2 and that would absolutely kill me, to have spent all this time and money and come out with that.

beyond that, just figuring out what to do with the rest of my life, i suppose. plus a few writing projects i've got lined up.

My goal is to find a new job. Interviews are going well so far. Hopefully not to much longer now!

I have just achieved a material goal that I first set for myself in 2008.
I have a van. I own a sewing machine, a serger and finally, a proper body form.
I officially own everything I feel I need to own to be content and productive.

My new goals will revolve around productivity and the above mentioned tools.

oh, i forgot, i wanted to quit smoking when i turned 21, but i failed. now i'm trying again and haven' had one in 2 1/2 weeks, so that's fun. not particularly exciting, but i'm pretty pleased with it.

I dont have many goals. Most of my goals are to ensure my childs happy and has a stable future, looking okay so far..

My one goal is more of a dream though and is a long long way away, I have always wanted to buy some land and build a 'hobbit' house to live in and a blacksmith forge nearby, and I will one day but not for like 30 years or something probably..

sure, i have plenty of goals, of varying magnitude and importance. i guess the biggest one at the moment would be getting my student loans paid off. of course, that's still probably a couple years away, so there's plenty of smaller goals in the meantime.

My goal is to spend my days doing as little as possible. And I must add, I succeed greatly in that.

I don't really believe in goals, or society's emphasis on "becoming something." It doesn't faze me. My goal is to be happy in life. I am not at the moment, and not sure I ever will be, but I find pleasure in the simple things in life -- good music, time to think and reflect, the ability to appreciate nature, etc.

Of course having more money would be nice, but that comes at an expense, too.

Finish my degree. Save up money so it's not always a huge disaster when something breaks on my car or other unexpected expenses pop up. Once I have my rainy day fund I want to start a travel fund as well. I haven't been responsible with money until recently because before I had a baby being broke never bothered me. Now living paycheck to paycheck is a little scary.

I have a short story I think is good enough to be published if I can find the right publication for it. I also want to work up the balls to start doing poetry readings.

Those are my short term goals. Long term, I want to eventually live off the grid as much as possible.

To learn how to stop giving a fuck, relax, and enjoy the little bit of time where I'm fortunate enough to be paid to not work. And eventually, I'll start caring and actually stop half-assing the job search. No one around here pays enough, so when I get desperate and really need a job, I'll settle for the shitty wages everyone around here pays. My goal for now is to avoid having to do that as long as possible.

Also, to exercise every day, so far I've done a fair share of exercise the past 3 days and I have plans to go on an afternoon walk with my mom tomorrow after I go help out the older lady I tidy up for every week. I've been on some pretty decent hikes the past couple of days, so I need to try to keep it up. Got to be as small this summer as I was last summer so I can fit into my shorts. lol
