He served democracy far better than the generals who want him sent to jail http://www.independent.co.uk/voices...sent-to-jail-8518338.html#.UTQ6rtFZ-HU.reddit
By betraying the oath he swore and his fellow soldiers in the field? The piece of shit deserves to be put against a wall. Shame he won't be though. Guess we'll have to be content with him never seeing another day of freedom in his life.
I'll be content when he gets out. Well, if he gets out I guess... If he was fully aware of the possible consequences of his actions and still did it regardless he is a hero in my book. If he was not fully aware.. ah well, he has my sympathy either way!
if good journalism still existed there would be no need for wikileaks and people like Bradley Manning. Journalism provides a check and balance to the government but it is a dying profession and the truth must get out somehow. There are shades of gray in right and wrong. It was "wrong " to do what Manning did because he swore an oath not to. So he has and will continue to be punished. But I don't think what he did was morally wrong at all. I think it showed true integrity, beyond how it is defined by an authority figure (in this case being the military ) . I think true integrity comes from defining right and wrong in your own terms and acting on it regardless of consequence.
We may later become more indebted to Manning, Assange, Swartz, and others. Book-burnings which turned into surveillance by the State began at least in small-town Arkansas. The experiment began small and un-noticed: removal of the cards from the backs of library books, when in that small town, one previously had the chance to know (who else[italics]) was reading a certain book. This may be connected to CIA's HT/Lingual operation as well as Stellar Wind. So it seems, the Links section says that one may post their link once: Yahoo Groups: preventionbetterthancure, is a site we found precisely due to fascism. It is a public reading/posting list, and although appearing as a burned-out cinder in cyberspace, we try to stay nor only current, but stay the jackals of fascism. Since we are just about to link Boston Brahmins to Wikileaks' State Department cable to and from Turkey, it seemed worth mentioning, because Manning may have been at least clued-up enough to realize that when a Brahmin offered the Indians two beaver hats for land, something funky would eventually go down. Thus, it is fascinating to witness post-genocide White Eyes becoming indignant about leaking secrets. One secret has to do with the Chinese invention of gunpowder: both White Eyes and Indians got to screw each other with (swift[italcs]) removal of a food source in Georgia (deer) and with the assistance of the psychopath president Grant's pocket veto of the conservation of bison, other gunpowder addicts like Sherman completed the job of food coercion in the West. Since now Colorado and Washington state are coming under the sway of legalized tranquilization with the cartoons afforded by cannabis, post-Aurora gun-control seems to be apropo: Qutb was the Salafist who went to school in Colorado, and the Salafist(Wahhabist) TV-sation owner who announced-and-or ordered the Cairo protest, did it at a time we took notice of: 5:00 pm in the afternoon. In Memorium: Hugo Chavez (28 Jul 1954 - 5 Mar 2013) This 28 Jul resonates with Russian president Yeltsin's decree against terrorism, on which we can expound later. So we're glad for such journalists as Anna Politkovskaya. Problem right now is that this writer's e-mail is being tampered with and no messages can be sent. Thus, we urge reading of message #424 at Yahoo Groups: preventionbetterthancure, and see the years 1744 and 1910 on the Al Qaeda chron. As the reader can see, there are Mayan crocodiles, though a Benghazi croc swimming the XL Pipeline would be apropo. Note year 1744: both John Wesley and Wahhabist (Salafist) expansion and the following croc report is from Southern Methodist University, founded in 1910. The Terminonaris report was released on precisely the day of the Aurora theater massacre, though one year earlier: Terminonaris http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2011-07/smu9fs072011.php Western Interior Seaway http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Interior_Seaway The URL seems to be correctly transcribed. Thus, Mayan Xibalba 'Mouth of the Crocodile' is strangely suspicious considering that the TV-station mogul and Salafist (Wahhabist) that ordered/announced the Cairo protest at 5:00 pm, a time also coinciding with the water changing colors in mid-morning at the sacrificial cenote of Chichen Itza. This was perhaps the exact time of human sacrifices there.

Maybe, maybe not. I think what he did showed true ignorance on his part. He obviously didn't understand what he was seeing (his ramblings seems to support this) and he was a moron to think society at large would be able to understand. He put all of these documents and so on out there with little to no context, to a civilian population that doesn't know the face of war or what goes along with it. Though, to be honest, I don't think he did what he did because it was "right" in a moral sense. He did it because he wanted to feed his own ego.
That was always the impression I got, as well. I'm glad he did it but I'm not sure that his motives were as altruistic is claimed.
