Yeah, I've noticed things like that and I never realized what was going on until I looked some stuff up. I would do the dirty, then get lazy and not shower for a couple days, go out in public and women were noticeably acting more positive and sexual towards me. Of course, that's excluding all the people who probably thought I smelled like a wild gorilla...:p

Well no one else here has tried them, which still leaves me skeptical about them.

or maybe you just put it on and became overly confident because of it, and people were just attracted to that- i know im attracted to people that seem happy and at ease with themselves.

it's fake. Technology is advanced enough (or scientists are too dumb) to learn how to replicate pheromones. This asshole probaly works for the website or some shit.

I'd say this is likely it.... People's reactions to you can vary wildly depending on your confidence...

passion parties carries products with pheromones. actually we have a whole line of pheromone products. one of them is a perfume called pure instinct. it comes in a little blue bottle for $17.50, and consists of a blend of essential oils and pheromones. it is not supposed to stand on its own as a fragrance but rather "enhance" one's own.

here is what the product information section of my business manual says about pheromones:

"Pheromones were first identified in 1959 as naturally occurring chemical compounds found in all insects, animals, and humans. They are emitted to trigger sexual behavior from its mate. When pheromones are secreted they dictate sexual behavior and attract the opposite sex. (note: the manual says nothing about the role of pheromones in same-sex attraction, although i'm sure its there.) Pheromone is Greek from the word Pheran - to transfer and Horman - to excite, Pheromones are found throughout the living world and are the most ancient form of animal communication. Human pheromones exist and influence relation between women and men. (Again, the company was started in the bible belt and any reference to same-sex couples has been omitted.) They affect how often we have sex, and with whom."

my personal opinion regarding the stuff is that, like soft candlelight, romantic music, and a box of chocolates, products containing pheromones can be one more factor contributing to getting one's partner in the mood, or increasing interests on dates. products containing pheromones will not "get a girl drunk" , "lower inhibitions", or cause total strangers of the sex you're trying to attract to come flinging themselves at your feet begging for coitus. neither will they make up for a rotten or absent personality, psychological or emotional problems affecting sex, physiological sexual dysfunction, false or shallow motivations, sexual inexperience or ineptiude, or the other person just plain not being attracted to you in the first place.

i wear the pure instinct on occaision, and find that while i'm wearing it, it does increase my confidence and ability to reach out to other people. whether or not the men around me find it attractive i haven't noticed because i'm not really trying to attract anyone. in the bedroom, it makes me feel sexy and ready to go. however it does not turn me, my partner, or my vibrator for that matter, into a sex-crazed maniac ready and willing to do anything for intercourse.

another thing i have noticed, however, that is a concern to me, is that when wearing it i get the headaches that indicate i'm around one of the chemicals i'm sensitive to (the toluene/formaldehyde group, mainly.) to be honest our romantatherapy line is something i have very mixed feelings about. what concerns me most about products with pheromones is not that they won't meet realistic expectations, but that relatively little real information is provided for the consultant in our manual. how are they produced? are they synthetic compounds? what chemicals does the "generous blend of pheromones and essential oils" that make up the perfume really contain? current labeling laws do not require this information at all. furthermore, how were these products tested? were they tested on animals? what are the long-term effects of frequent exposure to pheromones? are they addictive? how do they affect the system? will long-term use affect the body's production of natural pheromones?

to people without chemical sensitivities, that are curious about pheromone products, i might recommend them, but with a couple of cautions: firstly, have realistic expectations. don't expect that the products will "make" people want to have sex with you. it just doesn't work that way. and don't over-use them, don't wear them all the time or drench yourself or your partner in them every time you have sex. save them for the days when one of you needs a little help getting in the mood.

Yeah, that could be part of it. All the girls kept telling me how good I smelled though and I wasn't wearing any cologne or anything. I was always confident though and could get girls if I wanted, but with the pheromones I just have to do a lot less work; they more or less approach me, when it used to be the other way around. :H
