first things first i've gotta ask if you're black...only because you will never have dreads like this if you're not, sorry haha
if so, get a friend to twist your hair into sections and pull them apart if they start sticking together. my friend's done his recently and that's literally all he has to do, good luck!

had to make sure, some people don't get that your hair type dictates what kind of dreads you have haha.
get other people's opinions on it of course but that's all my friend's done and his are looking sick :)

Looks like they're just regular dreads that have grown out a bit without being retwisted. But that's all I can tell ya...im sure there's plenty of YouTube tutorials in how to start your locks

Normally when people ask how to get a specific look they produce a picture of some really complicated and unique looking locks or dreadlocks created using a hair texture different to their own. If you have afro textured hair then hair like in the picture should be no problem, it's fairly simple and straight forward dreads so provided you've got the length of hair required you should be able to get dreads that are a fairly close approximation of those.

you can go to the African hair salons that do dreads and weaves and braids and get them professionally sectioned and twisted if you have enough hair, but its not hard to section them out yourself. just don't necessarily expect to get it done in a day.
i have a number of black friends who have done these, it is the most popular method they say because its so easy if you have the right hair for it.
i also twisted mine but its not so nappy so it took a lot longer for it to form.
