Not afraid. They're going to do what they do to try to control the world. I'm going to do what I do to live free. I'm going to win.

  3. I don't see the government as the problem. I trust in human goodness, for the most part. I think it's silly to think that there's really this evil, wicked cabal of people, rubbing their hands together and grinning fiendish grins. I think people vaguely imagine stuff like that going on, but realistically, who would do that? No one. They'd all crack up laughing.

The real problem is us. The way we treat each other. We're all in such competition with each other that we dehumanize each other and treat each other like garbage. And it's no wonder the people with all the money see us the same way. All they want is to maintain their lifestyle. I don't think they care what keeps us buying stuff. They'd just as soon not treat us like soulless garbage if we wouldn't act like a bunch of children, trying to get what they've got. Which we wouldn't even know what to do with if we had it.

I'm not excusing them. It's never all right to see a human being as garbage. That degrades everyone, including the people who do it. What really needs to change is that we all have to start respecting each other. We all need to grow up and get over ourselves. Get over trying to impress other people and just be real human beings.

This is a great post, but in my opinion there really is a group of people conspiring to not just take over but reduce human population and destroy the sovereignty of nations. Am I afraid of them? Not really. They can destroy my body perhaps, but that just means moving on to the greater reality. And the system that's being put in place is unsustainable and can't endure. In the end, flower children will inherit the earth - or what's left of it. :sultan:

  5. Yeah, you're probably right. It was nice to delude myself into thinking I lived in a more sane reality for a day or two, though. :) Maybe if we fool ourselves into thinking it is sane, though, and behave that way, the others will see how backwards they're being.

It is backwards, too. I've seen friends, people who were once very intelligent and carefree, turned into demented misogynistic freaks by this "society." All these little peons trying to be powerful and famous... I just want to get to that place I was at as a child, laughing hysterically at all this nonsense, and then I can just die laughing if I must.

I fear my government for what he wants to do to the country. But I fear even more the numbskull citizens who keep voting for him, and the even stupider citizens who can't be bothered to vote against him.

    Good day ladies and gentlemen,
I am a recruiting officer of TOTES (Taking over the earth Society). We are seeking to expand and are now recruiting highly intelligent and reasonable people to join in our mission. High pay, control over peoples lives and a fat bud a day. Here is our website where you can read about our recruitement requirements. Please keep this notice top secret.

I just watched The Untold History of the United States. I mistrusted the government before, and feared it. Now I am convinced that my suspicions about the gov't are justified.

i'm not unafraid of governments, but i'm a lot more afraid of governments usurped by economic interests. of course i don't trust the influence of religious interests, but especially it is economic interests.

    ditto

I am no danger to the government and have no reason to fear it.

Its not about governments. Its about people and the forces that motivate them.

Yeah I suppose so, though I think my rage towards any sort of oppression overrules the fear. So I think I can picture how most senerios involving being faced with that sort of thing might go.

  17. I guess a little. But isn't that natural? A few people have all the money. What are we to make of that? The imagination runs rampant. I fear imagination is something people who are only interested in money lack.

I'm terrified of the government. Im convinced they will look to throw anyone in jail for any reason with barely any proof simply because they feel like it.
I feel like they are watching and snooping and creeping everywhere and on our phone conversations. I think the government will monitor us through our new technology so I keep technology simple so I can fall off the grid more easily than before.

Yes, because my very way of life is threatened by their existence. Then again I could say this about everyone.

I am not afraid of my government in the least, in fact I really do love it, to the point where I feel true joy in paying taxes and hate for people who try to get around them. My country is one of the best in the world, and our government has done nothing but help improve and maintain our amazing living standards.
