It was directed at one person. I answered the question, for myself, before it was asked.

And that's the way it usually works. The age of the transition varies.

Why do you care? He got exactly what he wanted, no surprises. And he wouldn't give a shit what you think about it.

Well...where she lives, this isn't optional. I'm sure several of the women she knows have colorful college stories that they aren't telling. Why? Because of attitudes like yours.

Now you're getting absurd. Everybody knows you can't be telling this stuff to little kids.

Aww c'mon must there be drama everywhere we talk about sex besides aren't be just sluts with dicks anyways?! I really don't see a reason to define slut other than to poke at stick at the people you want to degrade or stereotype.

I'd just like to say that I still believe kids, no matter how old they are, don't really want to know about their parents sex lives and probably won't inquire about such information.

Except in rare cases where I could see a kid asking for love, dating, relationship, and sex advice from their folks. Even then there's a cap on how much one wants to know.

I prefer teak. Monogamy splits too easily.

Ha. I had to lol at that.

I believe monogamy, for the sake of monogamy, is an outdated concept, though I think it's perfectly fine if you want to be monogamous (for whatever reason).

This would be better asked in the 100+ partner thread. This thread is simply about defining the term "slut". And the terms slut and monogamy don't really go together.

Indeed. I've seen people say they were monogamous AND they were sluts. And I was like, uh, you can't be both. Maybe you were acting like a slut, but you're not a slut if you're monogamous.

It's a derogatory term still used to control woman based on sexism by making a woman feel 'shamed' for controlling her own sexuality simply because she is a 'woman'.~

My definition of a slut: A female that only wants sex & nothing else from a guy or girl & goes from one sex partner to the next from one week to the next.

My definition is someone, most oftentimes a woman, who really, really, really, REALLY like sex and has a lot of it with multiple people.

Because I considered myself in my younger years to be a slut, but I was hardly selfish. I wanted some sort of connection or friendship to the guys I was with. I just wasn't monogamous, and I was honest with them about that.

I don't think the word should always be a negative thing. Sometimes, sure - it's a blunt and ugly word and therefore, it's pretty perfect for an insult. But it doesn't always have to be bad.

Personally, I think a slut is someone who defines THEMSELVES as a slut. My definition only applies to me and yours to you. I mean, who are we to judge? One person could have sex multiple times a day and feel that they are just sexually active, while someone with a totally different set of morals could have sex three times in one week and swear that they are the sluttiest slut in creation. It all comes down to how each of us feels about sex and the amount of it we are having. Or, for that matter, not even the the amount of it, sometimes. Having sex very rarely, but meeting somebody in a bar and going out back behind the dumpster and having sex could make me feel pretty slutty, even if I only do it once in a blue moon.

I just feel like we are all too quick to judge other people by our own standards.

My understanding of the derogatory term slut:

a woman who lacks self-respect and is seeking validation, power-trip, ego-boost or gain by having sex.
Her main motivation for having sex is anything but the sexual experience as such and enjoyment that comes from it.

Failing to be classy in gaining male attention, doesn't necessarily make someone a slut imo. Sure, it is a slutty and unfortunate behaviour, but I wouldn't pin the term slut on someone just because of that.

    Digdeep:
Having sex in circumstances, that to me feel substandard, would make me feel pretty slutty too (I already mentioned self-respect). But if someone actually isn't bothered by having sex by the dustbins, then who am I to judge? After all, that's none of my business.
