1) i disagree with that too, but it does not necessarily equal harshly judging gays. 2) because she said she's not inspired by them? 3) i don't recall witnessing this one either. she has had more schooling than most HF members, which might come up in the context of a thread occasionally, but i haven't seen bragging. i don't know, i'm sure there's stuff i've missed. but as an observer, it seems to me like you're just taking differences of opinion a bit too personally here.
I'm just curious. Have you read the entire thread (I know it is totally long)? At the start, she contradicted everything I posted. In fact, she even said life is to be lived, not quoted. Then she went on to leave numerous pics/quotes. LOL. Also, I was under the impression that actual bible quotes are not to be left in a thread (or is it just on the Christian threads)? She started out parroting scripture, then progressed to informing me that addicts and suicides are not inspirational (Janis Joplin, Sylvia Plath, Marilyn Monroe, etc.). Yet she had no problem forever leaving pics/quotes from the bible (lots of death, betrayal, and disaster in that book!) Anyway, I just wanted to create a space where folks could go when they were feeling in need of a little inspiration. It's a pity that it turned into what it became. I think this happens because anger begets anger. And (sadly) love does not always beget love. I am now hoping to get back to the original purpose of the thread. Inspirational pics and quotes, peeps! QP
actually, i have. although i've been reading it as it unfolds, rather than sitting down and reading the whole thing recently. so i haven't seen some of it for a couple months. i did go back and read the first 6 or 7 pages of the thread when this whole recent development occurred, in hopes of figuring out what had brought it about. i didn't see anything she said as contradicting anything you posted. i remember the life is to be lived picture, which i actually thought was a nice quote. i can kind of see how you would take it as an attack, but only if you're looking to take something as an attack. yeah, i'm pretty sure that's just in the christian forum. there's already enough restrictions on what you can say here without decreeing that you can't quote a certain book anywhere on the forums. yeah, it's a pretty good thread for the most part. it seems unfair that folks can only go here for inspiration if they aren't christian though.
