    1. Yes you should use a condom unless it is a regular partner who you know to be free from any STI's, The risk of infection is higher from anal than vaginal sex because of the delicate membranes that are present ther is more chance of there being blood present.

    2. You can use any commercially available lube. It needs to be water based so as not to compromise the integrity of the condom.

Non-regular partner ...... use condom. No condom? Possible effects ..... AIDS!
Regular partner. No need for condom. (Your choice) Just use any certified lube from shelf. Possible effects. beside incredible sensations....... maybe a little bit of a stain.

I would use a hot water bottle instead of a condom, as they are thicker and ridged for her pleasure, and as for lube I would use Vicks Vapo Rub, as if you use that you won't be bothered by any smells. Good luck.

Vaseline is rather thick. You would be far better off with a commercially available lube that is designed for the purpose.

Not after it's warmed to body temperature.

It isn't near as slippery though even when warmed up by body temperature.

vaseline isnt very good for your insides though. dont use it. wrecks condoms, and doenst come in fun flavours either! :)

get a thick waterbased lube for anal, to ensure a nice layer stays in place during action, i find the thin ones get scraped off, ahem (guess i like to squeeze during thrust...) :)

also water based ones wash off a bunch easier, of you and clothing, sheets, towels, etc.

vaseline is only for extremely long duration insertions, since water based ones are absobed by the rectum (which is designed to suck water out of things... :) but even then, small amount use with care on appropriate materials (not condoms!)

Maxximus is a good water based brand for anal. Depends on the person, but usually one application should do, or if you need to stop, just use spit and get right back at it.

There is an old saying that still holds true:

"Too much lube is never enough".

Olive oil is ideal for anal play - last longer than most others I have experimented with over the years. Cheap to buy from supermarkets & comes in various types & bottle sizes - types are pure virgin, light, extra virgin. Have 2 different meanings don't they.
