wrap a wet paper towel around it, that way you only have to keep it in mind for about 15 minutes so less chance you'll forget about it (maybe... depends on the kind of person you are)... and you can enjoy it sooner, too sucks though has happened to me before... no fun
I am having a few beers to relax. I am rather buzzed, but far from drunk. Unfortunately, I have an appointment with a lawyer tomorrow, so getting shitfaced is out of the question. I don't want a terrible hangover when I have an appointment at 10:00. In fact, I need to be getting to bed... soon. As far as what I am drinking... Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. One of the very best beers of its style out there. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/199/29619 Anyway... it was only two beers, and they only got minimally froze. They defrosted rather quickly and appear to be just fine.
Alright true story. I had to fly to Anchorage Alaska to give a deposition regarding a lawsuit I was in. I couldn't help hitting the cool bar scene they had there and this Pilot kept buying me drinks! I just wanted to stop in for one or two. Anyway I ended up in some bar hitting on a chick that in retrospect looked like Sarah Palin. I didn't even know who she was, but like one minute later I had a cab called for me and was cut off. I never turn down free drinks. I woke up HUUUUUNG OVER. I took a 30 minute cold shower and during the deposition... ugh. It was over a lawsuit dealing with the death of my wife some 3 years earlier. BRUTAL. They pulled up a bunch of shit I posted on this website back in 2005-2006 totally out of context. that sucked for sure, but I got over it and won the lawsuit. I'm left wandering though... did I hit on Sarah Palin?
What'll cool off beer faster, is an ice water bath in a cooler, and no chance of frozen beer. It'll happen even faster if you dump salt in there, create a nice little exothermic reaction.
if you keep enough beer on hand at all times you won't have this problem. I have a bare minimum of a case's worth in my beer fridge at any time. I also have at least that amount of dark beers in the cellar. it is not uncommon for me to have around a hundred bottles of cold beer available at a time and 50+ more in the cellar. see? problem solved.
Only Ever Had One Explosion In My Freezer, And That Was A Bottle Of Champagne Which Was Lying Down. It Literely Split The Bottle Length Ways And Left It Looking Like A Ship. A Freezer Full Of Glass Chards Is Not Fun... Cheers Glen.
Better than having it shatter in your face like it did to moi and yea ive put a few beers in the freezer than forgot about em. than i put em out in sun
I do this but it doesn't blow up like others experience. Maybe because I remember in less than a day or there's something different in the compound mixture. Coke always blows up for me.
it has to be pretty cold for beer to blow up because of the alcohol. i've had it happen when using the back porch as a cooler in the winter. got too drunk and forgot to bring it in, and it drops to -15C or something and destroys the rest of my beers.
Did that at an old workplace once, and it was a six pack my old boss got me too. Drank one, left four in the freezer, found out the next day that three had exploded and one of the other staff members managed to thaw the last and then drank it. Damn!!
If you drank one beer from a six pack and 4 were left in the freezer... where's the missing beer? -.-
