Summer Solstice 2013

Anyone going to the Summer Solstice this year? My friend suggested I go with her as she goes every year and it'll be my first time going.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people and the atmosphere there though :daisy:

 

I'm hoping to! My previous boss attends every year so I'll probably go with her. I've never been before either!

I'd love to go to "the Henge" but
(i) No one to accompamy me - and, it's a far way
(ii) I've a (Daughters) Wedding to deal with ... ah well @)

stonehenge is ok and worth going to once but I prefer avebury, although I haven't been to stonehenge for a while and if I get another van might go again.

Seriously though I find Stone Henge at bit crazy at that time and draws away from the spiritual aspects. Where I live in Glastonbury we have our own popular celebrations. Other parts of the country have various celebrations also. In Cornwall there are a few organised gigs and spiritual celebrations, Wales too has it's fair share.

Maybe try looking into some of the other celebrations...but if you're set on Stone Henge, enjoy!
