Have any of you taken the Jung personality test? If so, what type are you? (If you don't mind sharing..)

    http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp (link for the test)

At the end of the test there should be somewhere to click for a detailed description and overview of your personality.. along with other famous people who share a similar personality as you (or you can simply "Google" search your personality type to get more info about it). There are 16 different personality types overall.

A few of my friends and I took the test and compared our results.

I took it twice and each time I got "ENFP" (Extroverted - iNtuitive - Feeling - Perceiving).
I feel it matches me quite well. My friends personality types were very accurate as well.

I just think it's very interesting how our personalities shape our life. Very intriguing stuff :sunny:

I was kind of up in the air on some of those questions.

    Your Type

    • You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (100%)

    • You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
    • You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%)

Yeah, same here. I think the second time I took it I answered a few of the questions differently. Ended up still getting the same personality type.

But very interesting, you got the same type as one of my friends. My friend and I read the description of his personality type and it matched him very well for the most part. INTP.. you are "The Thinker!" :sunny:

They ask the same questions but in a slightly different way - to get the average response.

    INFJ
    Introvert(11%) iNtuitive(12%) Feeling(25%) Judging(1%)
You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (11%)
You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)

Beneath the quiet exterior, INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. Those who are activists -- INFJs gravitate toward such a role -- are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power.

INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden. They often are found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress. INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ.

"There's something rotten in Denmark." Accurately suspicious about others' motives, INFJs are not easily led. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time. Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words.

INFJs have a knack for fluency in language and facility in communication. In addition, nonverbal sensitivity enables the INFJ to know and be known by others intimately.

Writing, counseling, public service and even politics are areas where INFJs frequently find their niche.

I took this many years ago and got the same results:

    INTJ
    Introvert(89%) iNtuitive(75%) Thinking(25%) Judging(67%)

    • You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (89%)
    • You have distinctive preference of Intuition over Sensing (75%)
    • You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
    • You have distinctive preference of Judging over Perceiving (67%)
INTJs know what they know, and perhaps still more importantly, they know what they don't know. INTJs are perfectionists, "Systems Builders" and disregard authority: INTJs really want people to make sense.

    INTJs are idea people,

Thinking in this auxiliary role is a workhorse.
Some question the existence of Feeling in this type, yet its unseen balance to Thinking is a cardinal dimension in the full measure of the INTJ's soul.

INTJs sweat the details or, at times, omit them.

    Susan B. Anthony
    Lance Armstrong
Augustus Caesar (Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus)
    Dan Aykroyd (The Blues Brothers)
    Chevy Chase (Cornelius Crane) (Fletch)
    Phil Donahue
Michael Dukakis, governor of Mass., 1988 U.S. Dem. pres. candidate
    Richard Gere (Pretty Woman)
    Hannibal, Carthaginian military leader
    Michelle Obama
General Colin Powell, former US Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State
    Thomas Jefferson
    John F. Kennedy
    Isaac Newton
    Niels Bohr
    Carl Gustav Jung
    Michel Nostradamus

Whew! I was waiting for Charles Manson and Hitler to show up.
No one has gotten the same type yet!!

i've taken this a bunch of times, but not recently. i think i always got the same results, although i remember usually being 100% introverted in the past.

i kind of flew through it this time, so i probably answered some questions differently than if i had really taken my time and thought about them.

I forget if I am an INFP or ENFP. I think I'm usually 50/50 between the two and that's why I get one or the other. I don't feel like taking this test again.

I have gotten ENTP and INTP at various times when I've taken the test. Which makes sense because I go through stages where I'm either more introverted or extroverted.

Interesting to see most people have gotten Introverted types:cool:

Even though I got an extroverted type, it said I was only like 2% extroverted..

it does make sense, considering the sample consists of a bunch of people who prefer to do their socializing on the internet.

I always get INTJ. Every damn time.

This wouldn't be so bad, but whenever I look for examples of other people of the same personality type, they're always... Well, they're evil.

    I'm not evil, right guys?

    Right!?

    Similar.

I think i'm actually pretty high on the introspective bar (as a person), but also seem to enjoy socializing or making connections with others, or at the very least I seek good social outcomes.

but I'm not surprised I was also 2 wishy washy questions away from INTP.

-And socializing can definitely feel scary too. I don't think I'm one of those naturals who just loves the sound of their own voice. It takes a small degree of risk and faith to get this guy going, but I can succeed @ it usually. I can empathize with introverts in this.

I must be feeling very Introvert today because it's getting hard to pitch for Extroversion. :p

I'm totally a worrisome intro by nature, but I do like going out and meeting others. Can even head out on my own and end up fine... so I probably have more extrovert skills and/or tendencies than I'm giving myself credit.
