So a week ago I'm going to a new course (well basically it can't be called as school, like we go to this place only to learn math or other subjects). To my surprise, nobody goes barefoot (in my previous course they asked us to put our footwear outside the room). So I tried if I can go barefoot. I went to the restroom and "accidentally" (yep, with a quotation) spilled water on my sandal. When I went out, the tutor noticed my wet sandal and told me to put it off. They we're not mad all, and I spent the day barefoot. The floor was a little dusty, and in the end of the course I joked about how if I go barefoot here in the following classes and they were all like "try it lol". It's kind of a dare to me. The next class was this day and my new friends met me in the car park. They saw me coming in barefoot and they were like wow dude seriously. I told them I like to go barefoot and they were all cool with it, and dared me to go barefoot in future classes. They even want me to go barefoot with them if we decided to go out together one day - like playing football, going to mall, etc.
Yeah, go for it, if it makes you happy. I'd be a bit unsettled by my friends treating me like a side-show, but hey whatever as long as you're happy Shayla x
Unfortunately, no. My friends like shoes a lot and well, it's happier for me to go barefoot just alone, so well I don't force them to go barefoot lol.
I live in Australia and there are quite a few barefooters at my university! I'm more and more tempted to do it one day.. but I do know some people judge them and I guess that scares me. I already get stared at and probably labelled as I have natural dreadlocks.
I Say Go For It, Iv'e Been Barefoot for Over 7 Years, And Started My Natural Dreads Just Over 3 1/2 Years Ago, Apart From A Few Sniggers From 12 Year Old Girls, And Some Dissaproving Glances From 80 Year Old Women, It's Been A Breeze, And I'm Decades Older Than You... Cheers Glen.
