They have had very successful launches, I believe. The thinking is that they might be able to hit seattle. And any nuclear attack in the US would be a pretty fucking big deal.

I would agree, they can't..... I don't think they have shit for subs. But it's possible I'm wrong, too.

i am not urging war. i hate war.but in the event of it,yes i would be sympathetic to n.korea.n. korea dose'nt even want ta go to war. they will only do so under provocation.i do know whats going on there. i know whats going on in every war.the korean peninsila is being pushed to the brink of war by u.s.imperialism.no different than british imperialism in northern ireland. any kind of imperialism dode'nt stop any wars,it just causes bigger ones.so any country who invades other countries should'nt be cryin' about attacks when they happen, as if they are going to invade other peoples countries they should be willing to accept the consequences.war is war. people will defend themselves.and they have every human right ta do so.whats wrong with the world is that people don't stand up to their own goverments and say no! to all war.if they did we would be all living in a war free world.as an army of agression is only as strong as its supporters.in every war their is a agressor army and and a defense one.people are'nt going to lie down and die.people will defend their countries.

This is not a case of US aggression.

If north korea said hey, we're ready to join the world, lets all be cool, nobody would tell them no. There would be the fox news types who would rave against it, and washington and tokyo would bitch about it (for no apparrent reason.... but I'm sure they would) but in the end, they'd be just like the south in a few years: doing fucking great. Or, if they went the other way, they'd be like china: not the best, but far from as bad as they are now.

North korea is a case of soviet aggression, as much as the south is a case of US aggression. Korea was not even a proxy war, Chinese troops directly fought US troops, chinese and soviet fighter pilots openly fought each other, etc. Kim was not an indigenous power that the soviets backed, he was absolutly nobody, and when the soviets said alright, who wants to be mini-stalin, he raised his hand.

North korea is a manufactured state, more so than the south is. The difference is that the south is doing brilliantly, and the north is repressive and murderous, and starving their people for the dear leader's army. Korean people want unification -- it's true, some don't much care what government it's under, but that's because they want one korea.

The north is highly aggressive, but they're not building a good case for actually staying a country: when it comes down, either because of war or because they push things too far for too long and there's internal trouble, the north will be totally and utterly destroyed, as it currently is, and it will be given to the south. If they normalized relations, they could even be hermits, but if they didn't brutalize and starve their people and constantly threaten war (or it's continuation), they could easily be just another little country nobody cares about, by now.... the cold war's over everywhere else. Just say hey, we want a formal peace treaty, and write on a piece of notebook paper that the koreas will formally recognize each other.... have kimmy and whoever drives the south sign it.... for good measure, stick it under obama's nose, he'll sign ANYTHING anyways.

But right now they're an illigitimate government, and will really not be able to complaign when it all falls down.

And that would be it. Fucking simple.

I do hope that when the shit hits the fan, there is no nuclear retaliation against the north (if they don't masada themselves while they do it). I hope that, with no way that nuclear retaliation would make anything better, that the "free world" can be the better men, and launch a ground invasion of NK. If that happens, I suppose china might come from the north, and then claim what they took... and the kims will have created three koreas, instead of two..... the fat little shit.

What is it with wacky dictators? All that goose-stepping gets pretty boring after awhile.

And the propoganda machine has started once again.

    Another evil empire.
Another crazy dictator that must be taken down in order to save his people.
Another weapon of mass destruction needs to be stoped

And for the dumbest of this world, this time it's....
Another person that's against that just doesn't like gangnam style.

The underlying causes of all and any war are always financial. You can argue all kinds of crap about freedom this, playing fair that, being part of the world community other thing.... But it always comes down to money.

The only thing that needs to be asked... Is money worth killing dying and destroying for?

It would be so easy to launch a strike against the NK leadership, wipe them all out with the minimum of killing, the South then saves the North and everyone lives happily ever after under the global corporate dictatorship.

You know the easiest thing in the world is to just stop listening to the fucking monsters and by consequence stop obeying them.

    As I've often said...
George Bush and Tony Blair never killed anyone. There was just a huge supply of idiots willing to do it for them.

Look at this entire thread as an example of what I'm talking about. Some stupid pictures and a whole lot of noise about this, that and the other thing... In the end, no one is willing to get to the heart of the matter.

And the heart of the matter is..

Regardless if someone is expressing a pro or negative opinion against the subject.
They're still listening to the monsters.

When the world learns to ignore the monsters.
When people understand that unconditional love is unconditional respect
And that living free is not a dichotomy but a skill.

Then there will be peace and humanity plus all other life on this planent will start to evolve.
Instead of simply responding to a series of never ending crises.

If this developes into some kind of war,I just hope that there will not be boots on the ground again. Enough of our young(and others) have died already. Trench warfare is timeless and murderous to those in the foxholes. It's easy for us to say war is wastefull and it is, but for everyones sake,if something happens to start one, let's get it over with immediately and quit fucking around as has happened in Viet Nam, and the current wars. It all sounds pretty crazy to me. Bottom line is that humans need to grow up and communicate like adults and not like JR high kids.

Fuck I wish I wasn't too old to reenlist.

BTW, we already have boots on the ground in the Korean Peninsula. Have had them there for decades now. If it comes to war you better believe we'll be knee deep in it, and rightly so.

    This is true and all.

But if we look at the us "liberation" track record, and compare all that retardation to NK, it would make a LOT more sense to "liberate" them.

I hope we don't launch a pre-emptive strike, but if one is launched, we're already neck-deep, and must do something. I hope that something is not a nuclear counter-attack, or if it is, it's a very small one that makes kim a "fun-size" crater. Large nuclear weapons are good for nothing but murdering civillians, and no matter what they've had pounded into their mal-nourished brains, the NK people don't deserve to fry, no matter what their leadership does no anybody else who doesn't deserve it either.

This all said.... yawn. it's really all the same rhetoric, kim's trying to use an increased sense of external enmity and everything being on the brink of war, to cement himself. Because he's a fat little turd of a puppet, and he's got to swap himself into the focus of the NK personality cult. So, he needs to be the leader who stands up to the west and shit, even if he's just playing with his lego star wars set for his nuclear drills.
