Had to make a quick busness trip and brought the kids since its their spring break time. And my girl needed some sun. Destin, Fla. Right across from 'The Inn at Chrystal Beach'. Going to Panama City today. Its about 40 miles south. [IMG]

Last night we were at the outlet malls and a rep from Wydom Resorts stopped us and asked if we wanted to come to a 2hr info. presentation to buy a beach condo. Wyndom will give us a 7 day free resort stay. It costs us $20 refundable deposit. Tommorrow we go to the the resort here and have catered IHOP breakfast and listen to the 2 hr sales pitch and get a free 7 day stay anywhere in the world!!!. And we get a free gift.

I was thinking of writing a song about a hoe. A garden hoe.
Involving two pretty diverse singers, who would be extremely difficult to get together.
Maybe I should write it. Maybe not...

I got it down. Now cut it up. Gonna rent a chain saw and cut it in sections.

I think so. ITs 24'X24'. I'll clean and inspect the concrete. So far it looks ok. I dont like that spot because it blocks the winter sun angle which could be warnming the house in winter, but its a lot more money and work digging up and pouring new. Im having a dilemma. My sons want it for a basketball court. Their mom want to use it for a patio adn gazebo. I want my garage and workshop back. lol

I clicked this thread thinking it was about an entirely different kind of hoe.

It's almost worth it to move it and get that winter warming effect. I'd like to find a house with that southwest exposure with lots of windows and a long overhang already designed in. That passive solar rocks.

The rest of it can be thrown in the pick up. Cant wait to have a clean foundation and get the new garage materials delivered.

Just a little more to pick up. The heavey sawing and hauling is done.

    Progress! :)

I am gathering you have decided to build on the same spot. I see how close it is to your stairs and am so thankful that the damage was contained to one building.

How long do you think it is going to take you to rebuild? :)

Hi Heat, I dont know yet if i'll rebuild there. Im getting used to the view and breezes that the old building blocked. I hate to think of the cost of a new foundation though.
Thats hard to answer. I get bursts of productivity. Once, I tore down and built a single garage in a week by myself. And once it took 6 months to remodel the kitchen. :)
I would expect to get it done in a couple weeks doing it part time, with my boys helping me.
