Excellent study on how faster thinking in today's society affects us and the planet

Hey fellow HipForum members, I came across this study in the Science and Technology section on Grass City. It explains a lot about today's society and how we as people have learned (evolved) into a thinking/working society rather than a physical working society and the effect it has on us and our emotions. Definitely a must read.

I actually went throught this and I can say that we are safe. Most people don't think anyway...

How about live and let live?

I like to think. I like to reason. I like to create new and change. Why wouldn't I do it?

No one knows the purpose. And probably there is none.

Thinking mind can feel. It can also control feelings. This is why we don't live in caves anymore.

No. Man thinks. Man has conciousness. Machines don't.

Again, no. Scientific thinkink makes you control your emotions so you are a bit more advanced than other animals.

Of course it can. You shouldn't be looking at society as a whole but on individuals.

So what? Nothing matters in the end. Plus we don't know shit.

Did this guy ever thought in his life?

What about passion? What about fascination? What about happyness from discovering something? What about excitement? What about simple joy?

These emotions are extremely strong in 'thinking people'

I don't think that they actually feel 'more' emotions. Most times they are too stupid to understand what happens around them.

Yeah... make some research before getting stoned and inventing new theories.

Don't get me wrong. It is good that he tries to do something. It is better than doing nothing. On first glance his arguments seem valid, (thats why it brought my attention in first place...) but when you put more thought into it you actually see it is just all bullshit.
